Weekly recap.

Recapping our week on the blog! A day off school, dinner at the park, bath time, a birthday party, and thirteen years of dating!

Monday September 26

Babies always end up in the smallest places once they start crawling. Hadley was off school so they could clean up from the Oktoberfest. We are slowly introducing Huxley to real foods; this day was blueberries. Hadley started getting in Huxleys crib with him when he wakes up from his naps. He loves it so much, it’s so cute how she plays with him. The sweet potato turkey baby food was not one of his favorites, he’s liked most of the food so far, we’ve given him besides the turkey one. After being cooped up in the house all day, we went to a local park and ate dinner outside.

Tuesday September 27

On the way to drop Hadley off to school, we always check out the house with the skeletons. The lady that lives there dresses them up in themes throughout the month. We’ve been utilizing the homework cart every day after school, it works so well, and we haven’t lost anything yet! Kevin has been a notary for about a year now and had his first official signing. He was pretty excited!

Wednesday September 28

We went over to my parents’ house so Kevin could do some yard work for my Dad. I helped him lift this huge hydrator thing, whatever it’s called, and busted my lip in the process. It weighed a few hundred pounds! Huxley and I hung out while they worked outside. When we got home to pick up Hadley from school, she sported her UC Bearcats shirt for soccer practice, and Huxley has been crawling all over the tile now.

Thursday September 29

The devastating hurricane Ian that ran its course through Florida was just terrible. The photos were insane! We have family that live there and I’m so glad they are okay. We’ve always gone to Fort Myers Beach for vacation for years and years, and to see it destroyed is crazy. Hadley stayed up a little bit past her bedtime to watch the first part of the Bengals game, we won on Thursday night football!

Friday September 30

Sometimes I make smoothies for breakfast, or lunch and I dropped my cup three times this week! I guess that’s what I get for not putting a lid on the cup. One of my favorite meals lately is chicken, with steak seasoning, and Chick-fil-a sauce. So good. Hadley has been joining me for Huxleys nightly bath, it’s becoming so comical with the amount of splashing he does.

Saturday October 1

Kevin and Hadley went to Natalie’s volleyball game in the morning. After Huxleys morning nap, we ventured outside for a short walk. It felt great to get outside, and breath in some fresh air. Hadley had a friends birthday party in the afternoon, it was Halloween themed. So cute! For dinner, we went to my brother-in-laws house. Huxley went to bed just a little later than his usual, but he was still a trooper. He fell asleep on the way home, did a super quick bath when we got home, and still slept through the night! For the month of October, I’m going to try so hard to take better care of my skin on a nightly basis. I did a face mask, which is one of my favorite things to do before bed, and it felt amazing. I woke up feeling so refreshed, I need to make it a nightly routine again.

Sunday October 2

Kevin and I had our first date thirteen years ago on this day, it cracks me up to look back on old photos of our dating years. Huxley has been eating so good most days, he loves the pear cinnamon oatmeal in the mornings. Huxley and I hanging out playing in the living room, waiting to pick up Hadley from her playdate. Ironed all of Hadleys school uniforms for the week! Some people might think it’s a waste of time to iron uniforms, I just think it makes your kid look more put together than sloppy wrinkled shirts. I mean, don’t get me wrong some days there have been non-ironed shirts, but the majority of the time they are ironed, and I love it!

Happy Monday everyone, have a great week!
