Weekly recap.

Recapping our week on the blog! First haircut, Opening Day, anonymous letter, and more!

Monday March 27
On the days that Kevin is home, sometimes I workout in the basement so I’m not bothered or distracted by little Huxley. I’m more focused that way! Chopped up a bunch of spinach, put them into little ziploc baggies, and threw them in the freezer. When I make smoothies, I’ll toss them into the blender and it doesn’t go bad that way! Every few weeks I’ll clean out and organize the fridge.

Tuesday March 28
Huxley got his first haircut! His little curls were starting to flare up in the back, and over the sides of his ears. He did so so good, he just sat in the chair like a big boy! He was scared at first, and wasn’t sure what to do but he did great. Big sister Hadley got a little trim too!

Wednesday March 29
I did not take one single photo this day, and now I don’t remember what we did! Other than the normal, Hadley went to school, Kevin worked overtime, and then we all went to bed haha

Thursday March 30
Hadley was out of uniform for Opening Day! The Cincinnati Reds first baseball game, and the start of the baseball season day! Squeezed in a quick workout before I started getting ready for the game, Huxley thinks it’s funny to try and grab my phone before the photo takes. Kevin and I were able to be a part of the flag process out on the field, it was a fun experience! We were on the top of the flag side! Meanwhile, my parents were watching our kids at home and they had fun hanging out. Hadley did some arts and craft projects with Grandma. It was so much fun to get out and have a day amongst adults.

Friday March 31
Worked out in the morning! Huxley wakes up so happy 90% of the time! When Hadley got home from school, she hopped in the shower. Anytime she’s in the shower, Huxley loves to yell up the stairs, it’s like he’s yelling for her but no words come out except sounds. I received an anonymous letter in the mail this week, it had the sweetest handwritten note along with a gift card to a local restaurant. It was so very nice and I wish I knew who it was!

Saturday April 1
Hadley had a birthday party, they tie-dyed! It was so cute! Huxley and I ventured out to Target while she was having fun at the party. He is such a good shopper, he loves to people watch and just look at everything around him. I finished up some Easter shopping!

Sunday April 2
Kevin brought Hadley home a donut on his way home from work, he had worked a 48 hour shift. While he slept most of the day, I worked out, Hadley watched YouTube and Disney Plus. Huxley was a little bit of a cranky butt, I don’t know if he’s coming down with a cold or has some teeth coming in. When Kevin woke up, I finished cutting the lawn from earlier, while he took down our old cameras and put up the new ones. It was a little chilly outside, but nice to get out in the fresh air for awhile.

Happy Monday everyone, have a great week! And thanks for reading!

  1. Oh my gosh Opening Day looks like so much fun! You must have had a blast! So cool that opening day was the same for all of the MLB teams- I was here in New England cheering Go Sox but hey #baseballfansunite 🙂
