Recapping our week on the blog! Teething, softball practice, egg coloring, and Easter Sunday!
Monday April 3
Huxley has been having a tooth come in, and the poor guys face was all broken out, nose was running, and he was a tad cranky for a few days. But still woke up happy! Worked out. Started making smoothies this week. When the weather is nice, some days we’ll do homework outside! After homework we took a short walk, and then headed to Kroger because I needed milk for Huxley. It amazes me how fast a gallon goes with a toddler! After Huxley went to bed, Hadley and I went outside to talk about our summer plans!
Tuesday April 4
Worked out. Huxley was hanging out in the garage with Kevin while he was getting some things together. Got my hair highlighted, just love a hair day. And Hadley had her first softball practice!
Wednesday April 5
Did a mile walk at the trail, it feels so good to get outside! I can’t wait for the weather to be more consistently warm! Huxley was needing a change of scenery, so we went outside for a little bit and was happy as can be.
Thursday April 6
First day of Hadleys short spring break. I like to take a selfie after I workout, it’s something I like to do for me, it helps me stay accountable just for myself. Hadley and Huxley like to pose with me when they are home, it’s funny when Huxley tries to run towards the phone before the camera takes the photo. My husband attended a local funeral for a police officer that died, it’s pretty neat how they do the aerial ladders with the trucks and he was able to be a part of it. I came up with some activities for Hadley to do while being off school, an Easter egg hunt with activities instead of candy, and a memory game using solo cups and plastic eggs! She loved it! Huxley got this blue tent for his first birthday, and I think Hadley liked it more than he did. It was a fun little distraction for a little bit.
Friday April 7
Hadley decorated her shirt with some Easter stickers her grandparents sent in the mail. Huxley was obsessed with watching his Dad cut the grass out the window. All Hadley wanted to do was have egg hunts all day. After Huxley went to bed, we colored eggs! It was a great day.
Saturday April 8
Today was a pretty much chill day, Huxley tried out the kitchen helper that finally came. He liked it, and it was great for a little while but then he started to climb on it to get onto the kitchen counter! #boyswillbeboys Made six loaves of pistachio bread, three loaves for my parents house, and three loaves for my husbands cousins house! It’s easy to make and tastes so good! fdfd
Sunday April 9
Easter Sunday! What a busy day. It started with Hadley and Huxley finding their Easter Baskets, I worked out, and then started getting ready for the day. The two older kids didn’t wake up until it was time to go, so I didn’t get a photo of them with their baskets. It’s hard to make an eight year old wait until 11am lol Had brunch and an egg hunt at my parents, and then more food at my husbands cousins house. It was a fun long day. Happy Easter!
