I’m joining Joyce for this week’s Wednesday Hodgepodge! Each week she posts questions to answer and share with others. It’s a fun little prompt, and I am glad to be participating.

1. The hodgepodge lands on Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent. Do you mark this season in some way? Will you be giving up something or adding something to your life in this Lenten season? I am Catholic, and go to church and get ashes on my forehead, we try not to eat meat on Friday’s. Some years I give something up, some years I don’t. I don’t think I am this year.
2. Pancakes…are you a fan? Syrup or no syrup? Plain, blueberries, chocolate chips, bananas, or some other add in? Are pancakes on your menu this week? Pancakes fan right here! Yes, with syrup, and butter. Pancakes are not on the menu this week, but could always be added! My kids love McDonald’s pancakes the best. I love Cracker Barrel pancakes the best!
3. Tell us about a time recently when you felt ‘spread too thin’. On a day when Kevin is at the firehouse, and I have to get the kids ready for school, drop off at school, pick up at school, take Hadley to softball, sometimes it feels like a lot. Especially when I’m still not 100% feeling better. It’s like one of those virus’ that lingers for awhile!
4. What’s your favorite jewel or gemstone? In terms of your wardrobe would we find more gem stones, pastels, black and white, or primary colors? I love my birthstone aquamarine, it reminds me of the ocean! In my wardrobe, you would find more black items. However, anytime I wear bright pink/orange things I always get complimented!
5. What responsibility do you think is hardest about being in charge?
Making difficult decisions that impact others, and dealing with conflict.
6. Insert your own random thought here. Excited to celebrate Huxley turning 4 this weekend!

Happy birthday to your little guy this weekend! Such a fun age…enjoy celebrating him.
