With Christmas coming around this month, I am coming up with a few different favorite movie posts related to the holiday season. Here are ten favorite family Christmas movies that I have seen and love throughout the years!
NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATION
This movie is probably one of my all-time favorites. We used to watch it every Thanksgiving when my grandparents were alive. My grandpa was Chevy Chase to the T, we would watch the movie on closed caption, because my grandpa couldn’t hear, and then he would laugh a few seconds after the funny parts. It’s a great holiday family movie, with many memories for me. Movie can be found here.

How can you not like this movie? I love it. My favorite part is when he yells, “Santa! I know him!” It’s a funny Christmas movie that will be around for a long long time. Movie can be found here.
POLAR EXPRESS
I feel like this will be a classic as our kids get to be our age. This movie is so cute, I love the graphics coming from a graphic design love. And Tom Hanks is just fantastic, just love his voice! Movie can be found here.
THE SANTA CLAUSE
This one starts out a little slow for me, but then it gets good. Tim Allen is a grumpy single dad that isn’t a huge fan of Christmas, and then turns out he becomes Santa Claus. It’s cute! Movie can be found here.
THE SANTA CLAUSE 2
If you liked The Santa Clause first movie, then you’ll like this one too! Santa basically has to find his Mrs. Clause, or he’ll stop being Santa. Movie can be found here.
SANTA CLAUS THE MOVIE
My daughter isn’t a huge fan of this one, but I love it! It’s an older movie, and it tells the story of how Santa became himself. It’s got the old fashion wooden toys, that the elves make. It’s cute! Movie can be found here.
THE GRINCH
We love this movie so much better than the Jim Carrey one! It is a cartoon one, but it’s so cute! If you can’t tell by now, I’m a huge kid movie fan. I’ll be watching kid movies with my grandkids, if we have them! Movie can be found here.
HOME ALONE
If you don’t like Home Alone, are you even human? I will always love this movie. Kevin, home alone, fighting off the bad guys. It’s a great Christmas movie! Movie can be found here.
JACK FROST
A little sad, as the Dad comes back to life after passing away as a snowman. Movie can be found here.
THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES
Kurt Russell plays a good Santa in this movie. The elves speak their own language. It’s cute! Movie can be found here.

So many of my favorites are on the list! I think that version of the Grinch is the only one I like. I’d add Miracle on 34th street (but I only like the one with Dylan McDermott), my boys thought Deck the Halls and Jingle All the Way were hilarious. And we all enjoy the animated Arthur Christmas.
