Transitioning into the new role as a mom, can be overwhelmingly hard. After having my second child, I realized the temporary crazy train you are on as a new mom, doesn’t last forever. After giving my cousin a new mom care package for her first baby, you can read all about that here, I decided to do something similar for our neighbors that had their first baby earlier this month.
I was so excited to build this little care package for our neighbors, we have talked with them here and there throughout the pregnancy, they were a little terrified becoming parents for the first time. So I thought, I’m going to give her a little new mom package! I was so excited to give the neighbors this package, it’s just a few things to help the next few weeks/months a little easier on them!
ITEMS IN THE BOX:
Pampers baby wipes, the fresh clean scent is the best!
Head Bands (she has these too, but new ones are always better).
Dry shampoo when you don’t have time to shower, this little bit will help.
Luna Bars for those late night feedings, or when you just need something quick.
Energy Drinks when you need that burst of energy!
Bud Light for Dad, or Mom too!
Aquaphor for your lips.
Snickers bars, when you need something sweet.
Face Wipes (she wants to wash her face each night and these will make it easier).
I made a little sign for inside the box, Hadley wanted me to put her and Huxleys name on the note so I changed it and added their names too. I also added a pack of diapers on the top of the package, you always need diapers at any stage of a baby!
Our neighbors sent this text the day we dropped it on their front porch. It makes me smile to do things like this for other people. Being a mom to two kiddos now, I know how hard those first few weeks and months can be. Hoping this little package of goodies will help them along the way.
