When we go on vacation, our super nice neighbors always take care of our outside flowers for us! It’s a lot of work to get the hose out and stand there and manually water by hand. We have a lot of flowers! One of these days, we’ll get a sprinkler system, but until then it’s the good ‘ole trusty garden hose.
To show our appreciation, I always like to get them a small gift. This year, it was a candle and a gift card to a local ice cream place. I wrapped the candle in some cellophane, with a ribbon, and then tied the gift card through the ribbon, along with a little note.
An easy, simple, kind gift for a neighbor or a friend that helps you out! Our neighbors came back over the day after we gave this to them, and told my kids they should treat them to ice cream before the summer is over!
