Hey there! I’m sharing part two of our summer vacation today. If you missed part one, you can see it here, and our by the numbers post is here!
Monday, August 11
Started the day with a walk around the town! When it rains for just a little bit, the whole town looks like it flooded, puddles everywhere. I wore Hadley’s tall Nike socks and felt like an old lady, I do not like them! My new shoes were giving me blisters because they were too big, so I needed some cushion for a walk.

Went to the pool today! We use the golf cart as a bribe for Huxley when it comes time to take a nap. We would say a golf cart ride before nap, and after nap and he gladly obliges haha!

While Huxley napped, my mom took a picture of my dad dodging the big waves, they were big!

After nap, we swam at the pool some more and grilled out for dinner. We ate at the pool.

After dinner, we took the golf cart to get some ice cream. I could totally get used to the island life, so fun! We walked across the street from the ice cream place to check out the missing pier. It’s never been replaced since the hurricane I’m guessing.

Back to the condo after ice cream, walked a little on the beach. The weather has been amazing!

Tuesday, August 12
Hadley loves to sit out on the deck first thing in the morning, eats her breakfast, and her little juice glass. She cracks me up!

Took a walk around town again. Played a few games of tic tac toe on the cute little game in the condo.

My dad rented jet ski’s today! We took the golf cart off the island, which we weren’t supposed to do, and someone called on us! You aren’t supposed to take the golf cart anywhere off the island, or above 35mph. Oops! Oh well, we survived. Hadley hasn’t been on a jet-ski before, she loved it! Kevin and Hadley were on one, I was on one, and my dad was on one. We did a few races with all three of us, and I won every time! I guess mine was fastest! It was a fun time! My mom stayed back with Huxley, she didn’t really want to do the jet-ski’s so it worked out.

When we got back, we went to the beach for a little bit. Hadley made friends with another girl for a few days so they tossed on the beach. My mom found this sand slime recipe to do, so her and Hadley made slime out of beach sand! It was pretty cool.

Went to the pool for a little bit and then went up and got ready for dinner. We went out to eat on the beach! It was so nice.

Went to get more ice cream in town! Found this place that had the most amazing dessert I’ve had in I don’t know how long. It was strawberries, pistachios, and Dubai chocolate! Oh my goodness, it was so rich, creamy, and delicious! I couldn’t finish it; it was that rich!

Stopped to watch the sunset. So pretty.

Wednesday, August 13
My mom, Hadley and I went to a little coffee shop this morning. It’s called The Fox Mercantile, and I follow the owner Ashley, on Instagram, she’s so cute. It was a cute little place!

Back to the condo, another day another golf cart ride! The kids love it! While Huxley napped, Hadley made some sandcastles, and laid out to get some sun! She put a little smiley face on her leg and tried to get it to make a mark, but she didn’t have the patience to lay that long.

Huxley up from nap, and to the ocean we went! The water is just beautiful! So clear, and so calm. I could float out there all day. Went to the pool for a little bit before dinner. We all ate in the condo, and packed up our stuff since it was our last day =(.

Thursday, August 14
Hadley and I in the back of the rental car, headed to the airport. Booooo! Never want to leave vacation! Boarded the plane outside. I’m so so glad Huxley likes to fly, he did so great! Kevin sat next to Huxley on the way home, and I sat with Hadley. Little miss convinced me to buy her an $8 bag of Tostitos chips and cheese, while she watched her movie.

Friday, August 15
Our neighbors always graciously water our flowers while we are gone, so I like to give them something to thank them. They never want gift cards, so I always try to think of different things to give them. They also cut the grass which we never ask them to do, but they do it anyway! So, we got them some coffees and donuts from Dunkin! They are the best neighbors!

Hadley had a birthday party to go to around 5pm. Coincidentally, the birthday girl is our neighbor’s granddaughter. Hadley clicked with her a few summers ago, and they always hangout whenever they come to see their grandparents (our neighbors). Kevin stayed with Hadley at the birthday party, since it wasn’t over until 8pm or 9pm. Huxley and I went home to have ice cream before bed!

Our vacation was a great one! I think Anna Maria Island is my new favorite place to go, I’m already looking for next summer. It’s a great little beach town, and we loved it!
Thanks for reading about our vacation, I hope you enjoyed it! We sure did!

My father and step-mom had a house on anana maria island for about 5 years or so (I think) and we got to visit a few times. It’s so beautiful there. They don’t have the house anymore. They sold it and now their second house is in Portugal. I haven’t gotten to go there yet. LOL. Have a great weekend!
Aww that’s awesome! It is so beautiful there! Thank you for sharing!
That does sound like such a wonderful beach vacation!
It was really great!
