Recapping our week on the blog! Lots of elf on the shelf, dinner with a friend, Christmas program, last volleyball game, Christmas party, and cookies!
Monday December 11
Snitch our elf wanted to play hangman to start off the week! Huxley and I pretty much had a lazy day, just hung around and did the normal stuff around the house.
Tuesday December 12
Snitch the elf made friendship bracelets out of fruit loops. Hadley loved this one! Did a workout. And then for dinner, met up with my friend Kristin! It was so good to catch up with her, and she always picks the best places. Hotel Covington had the best drinks! Mine had coffee in it, and I don’t even like coffee. It was delicious!
Wednesday December 13
Today was Hadley’s Christmas program at school. Did a workout in the morning, Huxley has been doing good eating from a plate, he actually keeps the food on the plate! And then it was time for the Christmas program at Hadley’s school. They only do these in grades 1-3, so this is her last one. Hadley kept saying she can’t wait for Huxley to have his when he starts going there.
Thursday December 14
Today was Grinch day at school! Hadley wore a shirt that had Max the dog on it, her green St. Patrick’s Day pants, and a green headband. Super random, but she was in heaven. After school, Brady came over to get the title to his car since he was selling it. He hung out for a while, cleaned out the car, and just hung out with the kids. They loved every second of it! Brady gave the kids his old sunglasses in the car, and they wore them the rest of the night, they loved them. We had green pancakes and green cinnamon rolls for dinner, in honor of Grinch day.
Friday December 15
The elf brought Christmas cups for the kids, and then we just hung out the rest of the day. Hadley had a volleyball game, she played the other team in her grade and won!
Saturday December 16
The elf brought magic gloves for the kids to wear so they can hold him. Hadley wasn’t too sure, she felt weird holding him! Hadley had her last volleyball game of the season! She has improved so much, she almost has her overhand serve down, she’s so close to getting it over. After volleyball, I had to go to crazy town Kroger and return something, and then we bought the Salvation Army bell ringer a hot chocolate for our bucket list act of kindness! And then we had a Christmas party, poor Kevin was so tired, and he pushed through the night like a champ. He had worked the Bengals game, and basically stood on his feet for seven hours straight. When we got home, you can tell you have a good babysitter when there are board games and a book left on the couch.
Sunday December 17
The elf brought a kinder egg. We made some cookies; we didn’t make that many variations this year. Hadley isn’t a huge cookie fan, so we stuck with the basics. Kevin made white bean chicken for dinner, or whatever it’s called, I don’t exactly remember! But I had never tried it before, because I don’t like beans, but you can’t even taste them. it was pretty good!

Oh my gosh you are SO good with the Elf- thanks for sharing your ideas- we need some new ones- the night at the hotel sounds fun and your drink sounds delish 🙂
I have a love/hate relationship with the elf lol I love doing it and seeing the reaction, but hate doing it every night! haha
Such a fun week. I love reading about the elf antics! We haven’t done any baking; it was on my list for this week but we’ve been without power for 3 days now so I keep adjusting my expectations.
