Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog! Haircuts, massage & nails, and Target!

Monday March 18
Started my Monday morning with dropping off my lovely minivan to the body shop, to get my front bumper fixed. Someone backed into me a few months ago, it barely did any damage, but enough to be fixed I guess. The rental car place gave me a baby car as I called it, a small Chevy Malibu. We were told we would get either a minivan or a SUV but nope! Headed home to do a workout, it was a hard one, my arms were burning! When we went to pick up Hadley at school, the look on her face was priceless! She was expecting a bigger car too! Huxley got a haircut at 6pm, he is getting better and better each time. No tears anymore.

Tuesday March 19
I still laugh at Huxley wanting to get in my workout selfie every day, he stands there and then runs to the camera and hands it to me. It’s so cute! For dinner, made mini tacos in a muffin pan. They were pretty good, but I need to use the smaller size and they’d be perfect. Hadley had softball practice for her club team, and we are so lucky to have parents to help out when Kevin is at the firehouse.

Wednesday March 20
Once a month I volunteer at Hadleys school for lunch! I think she is getting to the age of not wanting her photo taken =(. Kevin slept a few hours in the morning, and then woke up so I could work lunch duty without Huxley. When I got home, Kevin left to get his haircut. And then after school, we went to the walking trail and got in a 45-minute walk. Also, a picture of the baby car I had for four days! After the walk, we played outside for a little bit before dinner.

Thursday March 21
Kevin planned a massage and a manicure for my birthday this year! I was completely surprised, and in heaven. I could get a massage once a month and be just fabulous. After the spa, I drove almost all the way home before I realized I forgot my Fitbit watch in the robe and had to turn around and go back. So, I stopped and got my favorite chai tea for being in the baby car for so long. I planned to walk around Target by myself before heading home, but since I had to drive back and forth, I just stopped at Kroger before going home. We got the call that the van was ready! Yay! Then I got a 45-minute walk in once I got home, Huxley and I walked around the neighborhood. Hadley got the cutest award in her class for following directions on homework. She’s the best little student. Kevin made a roast for dinner and couldn’t enjoy it until after softball practice. It was our turn to pick up the girls, so he warmed it up when he got home later. After the kids went to bed, I watched some basketball!

Friday March 22
This was a good workout; he didn’t talk, and it was only music the entire time. I love that, because sometimes when they talk it can get annoying to me. It’s probably overkill, but I try to keep a cleaning calendar to see what I last cleaned what when type thing. Hadley always plays with Huxley, and I sound like a broken record, but she seriously is the best. Huxley wearing his new digger robe after his bath is so cute, it is a tad big, but he will grow into it in no time! Hadley did movie night, and it was so cute! Sometimes we’ll switch it up and she’ll pick the movie and try to do little decorations and things. She printed off some tiny pictures of the movie, cut them all out, and glued them inside the paper she drew on. The movie was Zootopia, we haven’t seen that one in a while.

Saturday March 23
I love the three mile walk videos; I get so many steps in for the day when I start my day out with one of these workouts. After my workout, we ventured out to a new place we’ve been wanting to try! I got a strawberry banana smoothie, and Hadley got a blue juice drink. It was cute, they had a little area for kids to play, and it was big inside! Went home to eat lunch, and Huxley took a nap. After he woke up, we went to Target to look around. We took advantage of having nothing to do on a weekend, before all of the softball games begin! Hadley brought ten dollars of her own money and took forever before deciding on what to buy. She ended up buying hand sanitizer, one of those new ones that looks like a small box, and it sprays?!?! I’ve never seen them before, but of course my YouTube loving girl has seen them. She picked out a new sweatshirt, and I swear she looks like a teenager with the tall socks and leggings. We played outside until Kevin got home, he had two details, so he had a little bit of time in between the two so he came home to see us before heading back out. We played outside, and then Hadley grabbed her phone and then Huxley wanted the iPad, so we hungout in the back of the van but were still technically outside, right? After Huxley went to bed, Hadley wanted to make these cookies she convinced me to buy at Target. And I’m super proud of myself for having just one cookie! Before Hadley went to bed, she put a note on the cookies for her dad when he got home later on. The note said, “Do not touch, from Mom and your daughter.” Haha!

Sunday March 24
I cleaned the house today, mopped the family room and kitchen, the downstairs bathroom, our master bathroom including the shower, which is my least favorite to clean, washed all our bed sheets, and three loads of regular laundry. My little Hadley can go through some clothes. She loves to change multiple times a day, and it secretly drives me nuts! After Huxley woke up from his nap, we headed to the Dollar Tree. Hadley brought her own money again; in case she wanted something. I usually let them get at least one thing, sometimes two but she wanted something in the five-dollar section so she bought a little plastic egg carton full of squishies. She put makeup on before we left, and I took her picture because her eyes looked so blue the way she was standing in the store. And then Huxley wanted a photo, squinted his eyes and said cheese. Got home, and the kids played in the family room while Hadley watched the duke game. I started dinner, one of the family favorites chicken, noodles, and pasta sauce. It’s the easiest recipe, and everyone eats it every single time! I absolutely love plates that have the dividers in them, it makes it so easy for the kids to have everything all on one plate instead of separate paper plates. Hadley called it her prison plate (lmao!). Since I cleaned a ton today, I counted that as my forty-five minute plus workout!
