Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog! Summer week 1, Memorial Day weekend, softball, lunch at the park, and the school festival!

Monday May 27
Started the week with a YouTube workout! On a roll with the workouts and it’s great. Made cinnamon rolls for Hadley and Huxley and made them red/white/blue with sprinkles for Memorial Day. Mid-morning, we went to a park, got some energy out. Stopped by McDonald’s for lunch on the way home for the kids. After Huxley napped, we grilled steak and ate outside on the patio table. After dinner, we did some cheapie fireworks in the driveway. We started out with the pop-its, and then sparklers. Huxley was fearless with everything, he threw the pop-its, and held the sparklers in his little hand all by himself. He was so good, I was shocked. We saved the one bigger firework for when Kevin came home the next day. After fireworks, the kids had yogurt pops for dessert. Best to be eaten outside with Huxley. After Huxley went to bed, Hadley and I went back outside, and she did some sparklers without Huxley around. She loves one on one time.

Tuesday May 28
Started the morning with a YouTube workout! Cleaned out the bins we have in our kitchen, Hadley has collected quite a few books the past year. We went through them all, and the pile on the right is to be donated, the pile on the left are the books she wants to keep. Once Kevin woke up, he cut the grass and Huxley always likes to be outside with him when he does it. He follows him around in his little bubble lawn mower, it’s the cutest thing.

Wednesday May 29
Hadley and Huxley woke up around the same time, she came into his room, and he loves when she reads him a book. And then a YouTube workout. Later in the day, went outside to do bubbles. Hadley had her last school softball game, after a rescheduled rainout. I took her to get ice cream afterwards, while Kevin put Huxley to bed. And then we went outside so Kevin could do the big firework, they scare me to death!

Thursday May 30
YouTube workout in the morning! Ate lunch at a park, and then played for a little bit afterwards. When we eat at parks, they have to eat most/all of their lunch before they can play on the playground. It was a little hard with Huxley, and Hadley ate her lunch super-fast so she was super inpatient waiting for Huxley to finish his lunch because he never sits long. Hadley had softball practice; the carpool picked her up. Huxley and I watered the flowers outside, and then he went to bed.

Friday May 31
YouTube workout in the morning! And then the first night of our school festival. It’s such a fun weekend. Live bands, friends, and Hadley has a blast with her friends. We ran into one of Kevin’s firefighter buddies, and his daughter loves Hadley. She ran right over to her and gave her a big hug. My Mom graciously came over to watch Huxley and put him to bed. We wanted to go one night without the little guy, and Hadley loved it! She was with her friends most of the time, so Kevin and I had some alone time too.

Saturday June 1
YouTube workout! Hadley had two afternoon softball games for her select team’s tournament. Huxley and I went to the second game, and they didn’t get rained out! We didn’t make it to the festival this night because we got home around bedtime, and Hadley needed some rest for the next morning. She had an early tournament game.

Sunday June 2
In the morning, I took Huxley with me to the Little Clinic because I had a terrible earache the past two days. Turns out I had an ear infection in my right ear, and my left ear was a little bit red but not as bad as the other ear. They gave me an antibiotic, and hoping it kicks in quick. Hadley had an early softball game, they lost so they were out of the tournament. By the time they got home from the game, Huxley and I had gotten home from a long morning of waiting for the prescription. I hopped in the shower, and then Hadley and I headed to my cousin’s college graduation party. Kevin stayed home with Huxley while he napped. They both needed a nap! The youngest grandkid is a college graduate! After the grad party, we headed back up to the festival. Huxley rode one of the rides with Hadley, he loved it so much he was screaming with excitement. He even rode the ride again by himself later on. Hadley rode the dizzy ride with her friends, they couldn’t stop laughing. Huxley was super good, he stayed in the stroller most of the time. It was a fun day!
