We love going to the beach! And we are lucky to be able to go again this summer. I have a countdown on my phone. The fresh ocean salty air is just my favorite. Here are my favorite must-haves for at the beach items!

1. Beach Umbrella.
We have two beach umbrellas when we go to the beach. One umbrella for the cooler and food, and one umbrella for us or the kids to get some shade. Depends on what month we go, but some months are way hotter than others and we can always use some shade.
2. Utility Wagon.
If you have kids, or even if you don’t have kids, I highly recommend a utility wagon to take to the beach. You can put all your stuff in the wagon, chairs, umbrella, etc.
3. Beach Chairs.
We bring these chairs for the adults, and then little cheapy chairs for the kids. I am not a sit on the ground beach person. Beach chairs are a must. Higher up, or low to the ground, doesn’t matter to me as long as I have somewhere to sit my booty on other than the sand.
4. Beach Towels.
Beach towels is a given, but it’s how you use them for me. We put one beach towel on the sand for the beach bag, and other things. And then the other towels for us to use after we swim in the ocean.
5. Coleman Cooler.
Coleman is our favorite brand for coolers. I bet the Yeti brands are good too, but for a good price we love the Coleman coolers. We have something similar to the one linked here. We put all the things in the cooler, our lunches, kiddie drinks, water, booze, and lots and lots of ice!
6. Coppertone Sunscreen.
Another given for the beach, sunscreen! We use lotion sunscreen to lather up before we head to the beach, and then reapply with the spray at the beach!
7. Makeup Brush for Sunscreen.
Ever since Hadley was born, I’ve used a makeup brush to apply sunscreen to the kids. It is sooo much easier! You don’t have to get your hands all greasy, you just spray it onto the brush and put it on their little body. It works great!

I remember those days of lugging everything to beach! Now I have a beach chair/backpack and my beach bag and that’s about it… then again we hardly ever go to the beach.
Yes it’s a lot to take!
