Recapping the week on the blog! Summer week 8, volleyball camp, no cavities, softball tryouts, and the pool!
Monday July 15
Hadley had volleyball camp first thing this morning! She’s done this particular camp last year; it’s held at a local high school. After volleyball camp, we headed home so the kids could eat lunch and Huxley could nap. After nap, Hadley had her six-month dentist checkup. No cavities! I’m so proud of her, she is nine years old and has never had a cavity! We all went to the dentist in our swimsuits/coverups, and then headed to the pool after her dentist appointment. The pool has been so relaxing this year!

Tuesday July 16
After we dropped Hadley off at day two of volleyball camp, Huxley and I went to Sam’s Club. We needed a few things for the house and got some things for vacation. It is pretty hard to shop with Huxley, but I got it done. After about an hour of shopping, I got him a slice of cheese pizza for lunch. We sat there and he ate his pizza and got to stretch his legs and walk around. It was perfect timing before we had to pick Hadley up from volleyball camp. Later on, this afternoon, Hadley had a softball tryout for a different team than she is currently on.

Wednesday July 17
Day three of volleyball camp! Huxley and I walked at the trail and got about two miles in. After Huxley napped today, we went to the library to pick up the books Hadley had on hold. She’s been pretty good with reading this summer, sometimes it’s a struggle to get her to read, but for the most part she’s been pretty good.

Thursday July 18
Lasy day of volleyball camp, they had to wear blue and yellow for “Sweden” for their team. Hadley decided to tie-die a white shirt she had, and she did a pretty good job doing it all by herself. All I did was wash her shirt. The shirt turned out pretty good! After we dropped her off at camp, Huxley and I headed to the big liquor store across the river in Kentucky. We stocked up for vacation! After the liquor store, we walked along the river, it was so nice! We walked about twenty minutes, not too long but it was great. After we picked up Hadley at volleyball camp, we dropped her off at a friend’s house to swim for a little bit. After Huxley napped, we had to drive down to the detail Kevin was working at to get Hadley’s softball bag that was in his truck! And then picked up Hadley from the friend’s house, and then to softball lessons. She is getting hitting and catching lessons once a week. While Hadley was getting softball lessons, Huxley and I walked to the little toddler park where she was practicing at and let him run around and get rid of some energy. He was so good being in the car majority of the day. I got him a hot dog with cheese from Skyline, he ate it here and there as he played.

Friday July 19
Hadley had a one-day volleyball camp this morning at a different location than the previous four days this week. Huxley and I walked while she had camp. After camp, she went to another friend’s house to hangout for a few hours. Kevin picked her up, and I went to get my hair highlighted and trimmed. I cut my hair a little shorter than normal, sometimes you just need to cut it a little shorter for a fresh change. After my haircut, and Huxley’s nap, we all headed to the pool! We packed our steak, and Kevin grilled for dinner. The pool is sooo relaxing, if I haven’t said it before haha. After the pool, we stopped by our cousin’s house to give our godson his birthday present. Hadley and Huxley didn’t want to leave, they love playing with their cousins.

Saturday July 20
Hadley had another softball tryout this morning, it was a long one so after she got settled in Huxley and I left and walked along the river again like we did on Thursday. So many people were out on a Saturday morning, I walked about three miles and Huxley was in heaven with so many people to watch! Kevin came by firetruck so Huxley could see him! After we picked up Hadley at tryouts, we stopped by the school uniform place to get Hadley measured and ordered her uniforms for this year. It was crowded, and Huxley was beyond tired at this point. After Hadley had a three-hour softball tryout, she showered after she got home and then swam at the neighbor’s pool for an hour. I can’t believe she wasn’t exhausted, because I sure was!

Sunday July 21
Kevin was off today! I took Hadley to get a pedicure for vacation. We usually get them done together, but I wanted to try a new place out that was closed on Sundays and Hadley wanted to get her’s done this day. We asked for the Pinterest photo, and what she got was not the same. We aren’t exactly sure what the guy painted on her toes, but the bright orange color is cute. After she got her toes done, I got her a smoothie and then we walked around TJ Maxx, and Target, did some Amazon returns, and then headed home. I cleaned out some of the bins we are going to take on vacation while Kevin took the kids out to dinner. I stayed back so I could get some packing started.
I feel like this summer has been busier than the school year! I’m almost more excited for school to start so I can slow down a bit!
