Recapping the week on the blog! Workouts, Crumbl cookies, the pool, Sam’s club, and Hadley’s first softball game!
Monday August 26
Started the week with taking a walk by myself around the neighborhood! I turned up the music and was on my way. After school, Hadley had an orthodontist appointment to fix a broken bracket on her braces. Apparently, it’s very common. It’s only been two weeks though! After the ortho visit, Kevin took Hadley to softball practice, and she came home with one of those wrist band things that has special codes on them or something? I don’t know, I’m not really sure haha
Tuesday August 27
After we dropped Hadley off at school, Huxley and I took a walk around the neighborhood before it got too hot out. Hadley opened a fun magnet toy, check it out here. While Kevin put the kids to bed, I ran to Kroger for some vodka and have never seen such a fun end cap of our favorite Titos!
Wednesday August 28
Huxley sometimes wants to take his lawn mower in the car to drop off Hadley at school. He holds it on his lap haha! Whatever makes him happy right? When we got home, took a walk around the neighborhood. Kevin had a run where my mom works, and took a picture by the firetruck. Got the kids icee’s after school, and then trucked it out to softball practice. We were there maybe twenty minutes, and they cancelled practice due to thunder and lightning! Before it started storming, I took a picture of one of those free mini libraries, I’ve never seen one in person! It was too cute! On the way home from softball, I surprised the kids by going to Crumbl cookies, they picked out three of the mini cookies.
Thursday August 29
Another trip to school with the lawn mower on the lap, along with all the items to be donated from the garage sale in the back of the van. Worked out when we got home from dropping off Hadley at school. Once Hadley got home from school, finished her homework, and Kevin woke up, we headed to the pool! It was not crowded at all, and the water felt amazing! Kevin put the kids to bed, he usually does when he’s home because he’s not home very much lately with all the overtime he’s getting at the firehouse. Friday August 30
I wear this gray shirt a ton if you haven’t noticed in these posts! It’s from one of my previous employers, I have two pairs, it’s one of my most favorite comfiest t-shirts! Did a workout after school dropoff. After I worked out, we headed to Goodwill to drop off the rest of the garage sale stuff. And then went to Sam’s Club. We always need two carts when we go together, and with Huxley. After we shopped, Huxley ate lunch there. A slice of pizza and an icee is like $3.00! Perfect cheapie lunch for kids! Went home to put Huxley down for a nap, and then I headed back out to drop off the box of books that Once Upon a Child wouldn’t take to Goodwill, and then stopped at the Dollar Tree. I always buy a cheapie planner for my blog content there, they are already out! Kevin set up the “Bearcat” that we bought at Sam’s, Huxley is obsessed with him. He always does his little stance, it’s so cute. Hadley got ready for her first softball game with her new team. We did a new hairstyle too! It was awesome to watch her games live on Game Changer, her team won both games!
Saturday August 31
Worked out in the morning. Put together a collage of photos from August. Hadley played with her neighbor friend most of the day.
Sunday September 1
Started out the day with a walk at the trail. Hadley wanted to bring her electric scooter, so I told her she had to do squats or lunges at every bench to make up for the lack of work her legs were going to do! Shockingly, she did them and without any complaining! I was proud of her. Played with the neighbor girl again, from the time Huxley went down for his nap until after dinner she’s been back and forth playing. I love it that she has a friend close by, they get along so well! Huxley and I just hungout most of the day, and didn’t really do much. Kevin worked a detail down at the fireworks on the river.
