Recapping the week on the blog! Playing catchup this week, with Huxley not feeling well and all the regular everyday things it’s been busy! Walks on the trail, a few trips to the firehouse, senior homecoming for Natalie, and some cleaning!
Monday September 16
Walked on the trail after school drop off. Huxley loves to look at the construction people and all the diggers. While Hadley was at softball, we visited Kevin at the firehouse since he was at one that is close to softball. When we got back to softball practice, the coach gave all the girls ice cream and they gave Huxley one.
Tuesday September 17
Another walk on the trail after school drop off. We saw some deer run across, lots of squirrels, and even some wild turkeys in the dirt where all the construction is going on. When Hadley got home from school she did her homework like normal and then read her book on the couch. Huxley joined her and read one of his books too.
Wednesday September 17
Did a YouTube workout in the morning. Did the normal stuff throughout the day. On Wednesdays is the far away softball practice, so we have to leave like an hour early in case of traffic. I got stung by a bee at softball practice, and it’s still irritated on my leg! I have super sensitive skin for sure. Huxley loves going to the Wednesday night practice, they have different playgrounds, swings, and a sandbox. Hadley passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow. Most nights, I stay up kinda late doing blog stuff, or just doing things on the computer I can’t do when the kids are awake. I went out into the garage to grab my wallet, and I heard a noise like some kind of animal was inside. I freaked out, and called Kevin at the firehouse. He can open & close the garage from his phone, so he opened it and I went out the front door to see if an animal came out. It ended up being a huge dragonfly I think? It was flopping its wings all over the place, so freaky!
Thursday September 18
Hadley was reading her book before school this morning. I didn’t ask her to, she just sat down and started reading which is just awesome. Some days she’s super into it, and other days she’s not. Kevin worked a lot this week, so I decided to cut the grass as my workout today. It’s a little hard with Huxley, but he walks around with his play lawnmower, and just runs around the yard. All on his own, he picked up his toy broom and started sweeping the grass clippings, it was so cute! We picked Hadley up at school in the morning, she had to get a bracket fixed on her braces. We love the orthodontist, they have fun games and toys in their office for kids.
Friday September 20
Hadley wore gold / yellow for out of uniform at school to support a young kindergartener that has cancer. After school drop off, walked at the trail with Huxley. Hadley had two softball games this night, Kevin met us there after work. Before bed, did some eye gels, so relaxing!
Saturday September 21
Did a YouTube workout in the morning, and then after Huxley’s nap we went to a park to see Natalie and her boyfriend get pictures for homecoming. Huxley was a little crazy with all the ducks everywhere. Kevin drove up in the firetruck, it was fun. Natalie looked beautiful! Kevin had to leave, and then we left shortly after. We went to the firehouse Kevin was at to visit for a few minutes on our way home. Brady and his girlfriend got a new puppy, she is so cute!
Sunday September 22
YouTube workout in the morning! Spent some time in Hadley’s room, going through all of her clothes. When the drawers start to not be able to shut, it’s time to donate some!
