Recapping the week on the blog today. Spirit week, softball practice, a fire visit, straight A’s, and Hadley turned 10! Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…
Monday November 18
At work this week, the employees did a surprise underground spirit week. We had themed days for the week, and we were not allowed to tell the students what we are up to. It was fun! Monday was, mug on a Monday. We were to drink whatever we drink all day, in a mug instead of a water bottle or cup. Got home and worked out before I had to pick up the kids. My sweet friend Kristin always sends my daughter Hadley a birthday gift, ever since she was born. She gave her a mini camera that prints out the photos in different versions. It was cool!

Tuesday November 19
Tuesday was monochrome Tuesday, dress in all one color. My color was brown, I had brown in my top and brown pants, and my light brown / beige clogs. Worked out after work! And then indoor softball practice at night.

Wednesday November 20
Wednesday was wacky socks and sandals day! I wore my daughters pink socks, and my pink summer sandals. Slowly getting my office together, I bought a corkboard frame type thing to put the ugly emergency papers on, and a sign to cover up an unused outlet. This was the day my lovely husband decides to “visit” me at work just to say hi in the firetruck! When they saw the firetruck pull up out front, the staff was a little freaked out that something was happening, or they had an inspection. Nope, just the guys stopping by lol! I was a little embarassed. Surprised Hadley by going to Starbucks to celebrate her getting straight A’s at school! Huxley and potty training, so fun. Hadleys godmother (my aunt), dropped off her birthday gift. A gift card to Ulta and the cutest personalized softball ornament.

Thursday November 21
Thursday was wear your favorite college gear! I wore University of Cincinnati Bearcats! The maintenance guy finally stopped by my office and put all the shelves in the bookcase. Now to fill it up with cute things! Today was Hadley’s tenth birthday, and since Kevin had to work a detail at night he just showed up at Hadley’s school to work lunch duty. She was excited! Worked out after work. Hadley wanted to open her gifts from us after school, instead of wait for after dinner on Friday. On Hadleys birthday was the first snowfall of the season! The kids went outside to try and catch snowflakes on their tongues. Huxley decided to chuck some toys at our TV and cracked the screen! That boy is stronger than he knows. Hadley got a catchers glove from us for her birthday, she’s really pumped to use it at softball!

Friday November 22
Friday was Flannel Friday! I like the flannel I wore, but I wish it was a little longer on me! We went out to dinner at Hadley’s favorite restaurant Cancun for her birthday. Brady joined us too! He got a small taste of what it’s like to go out in public with Huxley, he’s out of control sometimes.

Saturday November 23
I usually start my weekend with a good face cream and some eye gels. Hadley and Huxley had a chill morning, watched movies and chilled on the couch. I worked out mid-morning. Hadley loves the show Duck Dynasty, and she’ll watch it on YouTube here and there. Well, I caught Huxley watching it too! After Huxley woke up from his nap, we went to Ulta so Hadley could spend the gift card she got for her birthday. She could spend hours in that store! I like it and all, but it’s too overwelming for me like too much to choose from! After Ulta, we went to Tropical Smoothie which is right next store and got both kids a plain strawberry / banana smoothie. And then we went home. Going to a store like Ulta with Huxley is not fun, I brought the umbrella stroller and he tried to escape the stroller multiple times. I couldn’t imagine him running around that store, so many things would get knocked down.

Sunday November 24
Started the morning with a workout. And later in the afternoon, we had nine girls over for Hadleys birthday party. I will share all the details later this week, but she had a great party with her friends. The games they played were huge hits! I have found it’s best to keep them busy, or else they get really really loud! Huxley loved having all the girls at the house, he was having a ball! Hadley went to my parents for a cousin sleepover, and because she is off school this whole entire week and Monday was the day we needed childcare. So Huxley had Kevin and I all to himself, and he was being an angel.

Would you believe I have never been in an Ulta store?! It sounds like you had a fun week. Did the kids notice that the staff had a spirit week going on?
That looks like a fun week. Happy birthday to Hadley!
