Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog today. Keepsake pillow, Huxley sick, softball, and the Super Bowl. Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday February 3
I have my work computer set to change backgrounds all the time. Not sure exactly what setting it is, but the view coming into my office Monday morning was awesome. Look at that water! Hadley loves her desk, she goes straight upstairs after school and starts her homework. I worked out while she did homework, and then we went to pickup Huxley at daycare. Kevin sent me this photo of him climbing the firetruck ladder, I text him back to put your phone away! haha The kids played outside for a little bit, it was pretty nice out. Hadley had softball this night, Mondays are always long days.

Tuesday February 4
My friend lost her dog a few weeks ago, so I sent her this pillow. Their was nothing saying it was from me in the package so she posted this on Facebook to find who the sender was! It’s a great keepsake for your pet. Worked out after I picked up Hadley. Huxley was sitting on Hadley’s chair in her room while she was reading after homework. And then we realized we had never measured Hadley when she turned 10 on her ruler that is hung in her room. Both kids have this ruler in their rooms, and we measure them each birthday and write the year on each one.

Wednesday February 5
Huxley stayed home sick this day, he pretty much laid around all day. He had zero energy, he barely ate, but he did drink his normal. He had a low fever, runny nose, and just looked terrible. He was better when he had meds in him, but as soon as they wore off he was miserable again. I just hate giving kids so much medicine in one day but it does help. Did a quick workout, always always feel better after I move my body. Hadley and Huxley are always matching when we don’t even try.

Thursday February 6
Huxley was home sick again today, he was a little better but still not 100%. Hadley decided to use a comb she had never used before, and got it massively stuck in her hair. It took me a good ten minutes to get that out before school! I slightly panicked for a sec I wouldn’t be able to get it out! I worked out first thing in the morning, and then did a face mask afterwards. If you don’t know already, because I share it often, my favorite face mask cream is this depuffing mask. I love it but it’s so pricey, so I always wait for it to be on sale. Last time I bought it, it was 50% off! Ate lunch with Huxley. I could tell he was starting to feel better, he ate almost all of his lunch. We got a car wash on our way to pick up Hadley at spanish after school. We just chilled the rest of the night at home.

Friday February 7
Huxley stayed home again today, he was much better but I wanted him to stay home one more day. Kevin was home so I could go into the office. I worked out when I got home from work, and then picked up Hadley. Kevin had a work detail at night. We ate dinner, and then went to Kroger. Hadley bought Huxley a cake pop with her own money, it was so sweet. I ordered Huxley Cetaphil shampoo and soap. I had found a trial size I had probably gotten from when Huxley was a baby, we tried it and loved the smell! I ordered a two pack on Amazon.

Saturday February 8
Worked out in the morning. Hadley had softball, so Huxley and I went to Kroger by where softball practice was. I let him play with three cars in the cart, and then surprisingly he didn’t throw that big of a tantrum when it was time to put them back! We went into softball practice for the last thirty minutes. A few hours later, we had to drive back to Kentucky for a birthday party for one of her softball teammates. Luckily, Kevin was able to pick her up since it was at 8:30pm at night. Huxley looks so cozy in his bed. He always starts out good with the blankets, and then wakes up with them all over the place.

Sunday February 9
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! And then Hadley had a softball clinic at a local college, it was just for two hours but it was so close to our house, I was able to go back home to workout. After we got home, we ate lunch and Huxley took a nap. Hadley took a shower, and just chilled in her room. After Huxley woke up, we colored some football pages and watched the movie The Waterboy. I was surprised how much of the movie the kids actually watched! I always love showing them older to me movies that they end up watching! During Huxleys nap, I made some strawberry truffles as a little snack for the Super Bowl. I usually do way more things for the Super Bowl but I just wasn’t feeling it this year. We ate dinner, and then watched some more of the Super Bowl. Kevin was at the firehouse. Nothing too exciting, but really happy the Eagles won!

  1. That’s funny about the kids unintentionally matching. My kids do that too sometimes! Mainly because they only wear certain colors!

  2. That pillow is so sweet! I always hated giving my kids so much medicine all day when they were sick too but I had to remind myself that it was only temporary. We always watched lots of the older movies we grew up with with our kids too and they enjoyed a lot of them so much. I’m not sure we thought of showing them the Waterboy though.
