Recapping the week on the blog today. Valentine’s Day treats, snow, and more! Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…
Monday February 10
Some mornings I have to wake Huxley to get up for school. I hate those days. I hate waking up kids when they are soundly sleeping. After work and school, I started working on the Valentines Day goodies for the kids’ teachers. Then we went to softball practice, back home and bed. I recently bought Huxley some new pajamas, they fit him so good!

Tuesday February 11
More snow came Tuesday! Always hoping for a good snow day, but it didn’t snow quite that much. Hadley had an orthodontist appointment after school, I almost forgot about it and we were five minutes late. I know that might not sound like much, but I’d rather be ten minutes early! Worked out when we got home.

Wednesday February 12
Worked out after work. Before dinner, Hadley and I started on her Valentines Day treats for her class. We did a wicked themed Valentines, this idea was just so cute from Lindsay on her blog! Hadley and I recently saw the movie Wicked and loved it. We bought a huge bag of watermelon Sour Patch Kids, and we counted twenty per bag and had a ton left over. Every time the kids want bagel bites for dinner, Huxley loves to watch a movie inside his firetruck tent with Hadley. It’s the cutest thing. Another set of pajamas for Huxley, he is turning three this week and these pajamas are a size 7!

Thursday February 13
Worked out after work! Hadley celebrated Valentines Day a day early since she is off school on Friday. We gave her teachers homemade chocolate chip cookies baked by Kevin, and these cute little e.l.f. lip balms, which are a dollar cheaper on Amazon than Kroger by the way! We made the little charms and chains, etc. It was a cute idea my Mom had made with Hadley a few days earlier when the kids had a sleepover at my parents. Hadley had Spanish after school. Came home and just chilled pretty much. When it was time for bed, Huxley insisted on putting his socks on all by himself. I love this stage of kids, when they want to do everything on their own. Even if it might take twice as long! haha

Friday February 14
Happy Valentines Day! Hadley was off school today! Huxley had his class party at school, we bought a pack of jelly pops and forgot to put “from Huxley” on them all, oh well! We also made Huxleys teachers the lip balm gift. His teachers sent a picture of him wearing these heart sunglasses, holding a balloon. They make it fun for them that’s for sure! One of my coworkers gave me a really pretty rose cupcake. Meanwhile, Hadley went bowling with her Dad and then convinced him to take her to Cancun afterwards for lunch. She loves Cancun! Hadley’s godmother dropped off some fun goodies for the kids for Valentines Day. After dinner, we drove around the neighborhood and delivered some treats! The kids loved it because we didn’t make them buckle up, just drove around a street or two! When we got home, Kevin and Huxley started a cozy fire!

Saturday February 15
Roses from Kevin, they are very pretty! Worked out in the morning. Hadley stayed home from softball, she wasn’t feeling her best. She painted while Huxley napped. Her and I colored while Huxley napped too. After dinner, and after Huxley went to bed, we watched the Wild Robot movie. If you and your kids haven’t seen it yet, you totally should it’s so cute! I gave Hadley a sheet mask for Valentines Day, she wanted to put it on during the movie. Sheet masks are so relaxing!

Sunday February 16
Kevin got called in for overtime Sunday morning, and it had started snowing too! He had to drive into work right as it was pouring down with snow. Huxley watched him leave out the window. The roads weren’t the best first thing in the morning. The kids pretty much played all day long off and on. Hadley is just the best sister ever. She constantly plays with Huxley, and he loves every second of it! Hadley always wants to go somewhere when she has no sports, or anything to do. Sometimes we do it, and sometimes we don’t. We went to Sam’s Club and was going to have them each pick out a small toy, and of all times we go to Sam’s they had like five toys to choose from and none of them were anything either of them liked. Hadley picked out a new sweatshirt, and Huxley picked out a Blippi book. More new pajamas for Huxley, the top fits a little weird on him but for the most part is a good fit.

What walking workout do you use?
YouTube! I just type in “walking workout” and do any that are 15-20min long!
That sounds like such a fun Valentine’s week. My boys were always several sizes ahead of their ages too… especially with Pj’s!
