Monday March 31
I saw this photo on social media, and it made me think of Hadley. She loves softball so much, it’s hard to make her stop doing travel ball. It’s soo much with practices, games, tournaments, out of town tournaments, plus all the cost! But she enjoys the sport so so much, so we keep going. Hadley had softball practice, and Kevin brought her home after he got off work at the firehouse.
Tuesday April 1
When we got home from work and school, I vacuumed the van out and played with the kids outside. When we came inside, Hadley found a softball movie / show on Netflix. Huxley brought over the garbage can we have by the bar cart in the hallway, and Hadley started pushing him while he was inside all while I was going to the bathroom! haha
Wednesday April 2
After work did a YouTube workout, went and picked up Huxley and then mowed the grass! First cut of the season! I saw so many funny videos about people cutting their grass before the storms came through. A friend from down the street came over to play some softball in the front yard. After Huxley went to bed, and Hadley took a shower, I tried to french braid her hair and failed. I need to try again! More tornadoes and severe thunderstorms were on the radar, so I got all my candles and matches together by my nightstand. I kept updating weather apps and had a hard time sleeping. Put on a face mask to try and relax! Luckily, we just had some heavy rain and lightning.
Thursday April 3
Did a YouTube workout when I got home from work, picked up Hadley from Spanish. Cleaned up the playroom, which will be destroyed in five minutes once Huxley sees it. Hadley and Huxley laying in bed together watching a show on the iPad.
Friday April 4
Walking down the halls and saw this piece hanging, it’s from the movie Frozen. I smiled because I love that line in the movie! Bought Huxley a potty chart to try and focus on potty training full force this weekend. I also bought a prize box for when he goes poop. We have had a mason jar full of M&M’s as his reward after he goes to the bathroom, but I changed it up and bought gummi bears and gummy sharks! He loved it and when on the toilet three times before bed!
Saturday April 5
Started my Saturday with a workout! Huxley had two accidents and pooped in his pants twice. Wasn’t the greatest day, but we kept going because consistency is better than doing nothing! After Huxley’s nap, we left for an indoor softball game. Hadley played two games, it was comparable to an indoor soccer game but indoor for softball. No outfield, just six players on the field. My brother came with his family for the last game.
Sunday April 6
Worked out in the morning. Even more potty training! Huxley did great, still no pooping in the toilet but a much better day for going pee than on Saturday. I bought Huxley a target thing for his potty training! You hook it on the back of the toilet lid, and it shines a green target symbol in the toilet bowl for him to aim at. It’s a fun thing for him and hopefully teaches him how to pee in the actual toilet and not all over! Hadley decided to try and curl her hair with a curling wand, she did a great job and needs to teach her mama! She had an idea to go to Sam’s Club for dinner and have pizza since it’s so cheap. When we got to Sam’s, the food court was closed! So, we picked up a few things we needed, Huxley picked out a book, and Hadley got some new pajamas. After Sam’s, we went to Chipotle for dinner and brought it home to eat.
