Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog today! The lake, a dishwasher, day date, and a softball tournament. Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday April 21
First thing Monday morning, Kevin drove Hadley down to the lake where my in-laws live. She wanted to stay there for a few days while she was on spring break. We sure did miss her, but I think she wanted / needed some time to herself without her little brother around. I was off work, so I did a workout in the morning and then after Kevin slept for a little bit we went to look at dishwashers. Ours is super old, and we needed a new one. We went with a KitchenAid one. After we picked up Huxley from daycare, we played outside a little bit. His new favorite thing is to use the big water guns, especially after Hadley taught him how to use it.

Tuesday April 22
Walked at the trail after work, it’s been so nice outside. Huxley and I played outside for a little bit, and used some chalk to draw on the driveway. Before bed, we read one of Huxley’s new books he got from the Easter bunny. The book is so cute, you can find it on Amazon.

Wednesday April 23
Worked out after work, and then got an oil change for the van. It was overdue! Kevin stayed home with Huxley, and then I was home in a little over and hour so I could still see Huxley before he went to bed.

Thursday April 24
Worked out after work. I started counting my calories this week and it’s not easy but it does work. Planning out meals and figuring out how much to eat of what each day is exhausting but I’m in the zone so I’m going with it. The little brown rice cups that are microwaveable are awesome! Kevin drove to the lake after work to pickup Hadley. She got home late after Huxley was in bed, but I was so excited to see her!

Friday April 25
A day off work! And Hadley’s last day of spring break. Huxley stayed home too! Hadley didn’t even care because she missed him without really admitting it. As soon as Hadley woke up, because she slept in big time, Huxley didn’t leave her side. It was so cute. Kevin had to do a practice driving test for the fire truck, so as soon as he got home Hadley and I headed out for a little day date. We went to Ulta, Tropical Smoothie, and Target. She got a few things and was in heaven. Back home to get Kevin and Huxley then we all headed to Lowe’s to pickup the new dishwasher and to return Huxley’s ceiling fan. Huxley and Hadley had fun sitting on all the lawn mowers and trying them out.

Saturday April 26
Started out the morning with a workout. Kevin and Hadley headed to her first game of the two-day softball tournament. I love game changer, and to be able to watch her games live when I can’t be there. My parents came to her first game. As soon as Huxley woke up from his nap, we headed to the ball fields for game #2. Our cousins came to the second game. It was a beautiful day, a little chilly, but the sun was out and it was nice. Hadley’s team lost the first game, won the second and third game. Kevin took Huxley home before the third game started, we take turns a lot with Huxley when we can.

Sunday April 27
Huxley is on a roll with potty training, and putting his stickers on his chart like a champ. Worked out in the morning. And then Hadley and I headed back to the ball fields for another round of softball games. Hadley’s team won the first game, which meant they made it to the championship game! Kevin and Huxley came for the second game. Hadley’s coach told her to bunt, and she did exactly as she was told and did great! They won the tournament and got rings! This is her fourth ring with this team. So exciting. After each game, we would go to the playground and let Huxley play for a little bit. Sort of like a reward for him being so good during the games. Hadley’s team is growing as a team and I love watching her play!

  1. You do a great job with your workouts. I’ve been so hit or miss lately, but I swim everyday in the summer so feel like I’ll get back on track soon. Have a nice week!

  2. Good for Hadley! I am sure she enjoyed her alone time with her grandparents. Love the softball pics- play ball! So happy it is softball season again-great job, as always, on your workouts!
