Today is the last Thursday of the month, which means Monthly Musings! I’m excited to join in with Patty and Holly!

1 – Any back to school traditions?
Yes! Hadley loves to go out and school shop, verses online. Unless their are some supplies that we can’t find in the stores, then we’ll shop online. She loves to pick out her own school supplies. Her Dad takes her shoe shopping, that is their thing. The night before school, we’ll go out to Kroger or Dunkin after Hadley goes to bed and get her favorite donut a frosted sprinkle glazed donut. And then, we take the traditional chalkboard photos on the front porch!
2 – How do you celebrate the first day of school?
When Hadley wakes up on the first day of school, I have a little spread setup in the dining room. Festive plates and napkins, a donut, some type of back to school sign, and maybe a fun pen or something. When she comes home from school, sometimes we’ll get an ICEE, or a lemonade from Starbucks.
3 – Favorite early fall/back to school meals? Can you share a recipe?
We don’t really have any fall/back to school meals. Not the best cook haha
4 – What are your go-to outfits for fall?
Leggings, sweatshirts, and gym shoes!
5 – Do kids go back to school before or after Labor Day in your area?
Before Labor Day! My daughter went back August 20th.
6 – When do you start to decorate for early fall?
After Labor Day! Summer doesn’t end until then in my eyes! Just like every other fall holiday, I feel like people start decorating for fall as soon as August 1st! I just can’t until after Labor Day weekend happens.
7 – How do you get back into the fall routine?
Don’t really have a different routine for fall, verses any other season. Just inside a lot more since it’s cold outside!
8 – What are you most looking forward to this fall?
Watching football on Sunday’s, making a fall bucket list, and all the holidays that are coming!
9 – Do you decorate for fall? If so, when?
Yes, I love to decorate for fall. I put up fall decorations after Labor Day!
10 – What feels like fall to you?
A hot chai tea latte! Comfy hoodies. Blankets. Cinnamon spice like candles. A pot of chili on the stove. And all the fall like movies!

I try to make summer last as long as possible so I don’t decorate for fall until at least September, usually it’s later in September or even October before I get around to it. I do love fall.. but it’s what comes after it that I dread.
Same! I get around to decorating mid-Sept or when it starts getting cooler.
