Weekly Recap.

Happy Tuesday! How is everyone this first week of November? The cooler weather is finally here! Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday October 27.
Worked out after work, my same ole same ole YouTube videos. Huxley’s Halloween costume arrived and he wanted to wear it in the car, to take Hadley to softball. He wore his red mask the whole car ride, it was hilarious.

Tuesday October 28.
Today was our busy busy day! After work, I did a YouTube workout because I needed the boost to mentally prepare for our busy evening after school. Hadley had an orthodontist appointment at 3:15pm, so I dropped her off there and then left to pickup Huxley at daycare. The orthodontist always has the cutest decorations to go with the seasons. After I picked up Huxley at daycare, we went back to the orthodontist to grab Hadley. She was actually finished before I arrived, and they had to call me! Ugh I hate that! After the orthodontist, we went to catching clinic that starts at 5pm, which not on our side of town. Hadley changed in the car. Huxley and I chilled in the car most of the time, watching movies, playing, eating dinner we packed. Huxley usually eats PB&J, and I’ll eat a turkey sandwich. After an hour of catching, we drove back to our side of town for volleyball practice at 6:30pm. Hadley changed in the car again. Huxley and I came into the gym to hangout, it was only an hour long.

Wednesday October 29.
Huxley had a magic show at school! I can’t believe he touched the bunny! Today is Kevin’s birthday, I made a little collage of all the selfies he’s sent me haha! After he woke up from sleeping, he opened his gifts from me and the kids. Hadley went to softball practice. Huxley and I made a no bake cheesecake from a box, and had to wait until the next day to try it so it would harden in the fridge. Huxley was so excited to “sing” happy birthday to his dad.

Thursday October 30.
The past two days, I had to work on a very long detailed project at work. It was almost noon and I only had 1374 steps from sitting at my desk staring at the computer screen! I love this cheapie gold watch I bought, I mainly got it to count my steps. I don’t need all the fancy iPhone watches and all that. I used to have a FitBit but it broke, and I never replaced it. Check out the watch —> step counter watch! I love it! Worked out after work. Hadley’s ear has been hurting since Tuesday, so I thought it was time to get it checked out. Raise your hand if you have an ear infection! Hadley is such a trooper, goes to softball practice and school all while having an earache. Once we got home from the doctor, Kevin had stopped by Kroger and picked out some pumpkins. We didn’t make it to a pumpkin patch this year, it’s been a weird fall so far. Kevin carved some pumpkins with Huxley, while I took Hadley to volleyball practice.

After Hadley got home from volleyball practice, we sang Happy Birthday to Kevin! Huxley loved it. We tried the cheesecake we made the night before and it was gross! I think the box was like a year old. Hadley ended her night by reading her book.

Friday October 31.
Happy Halloween! I stopped by Starbuck’s in Kroger on my way to work in the morning and ran into my Aunt Chris! Wore a little Halloween hairclip and the same spiderweb top I seem to wear every year. Huxley had trick-or-treat at daycare, I love how they send us pictures! After work, I cut the grass real quick before all the trick-or-treaters were going to walk all over our lawns. Huxley played in the garage and driveway while I cut the grass. Hadley was going to be a softball player, but at the last minute changed her mind. Hadley was Sully from Monster’s Inc. She hand drew purple circles all over a blue shirt she had, and made a “Monsters Inc” label and taped it on her beanie. Huxley was Henry Danger, from the Netflix show. It used to be one of Hadley’s favorite shows, now it’s Huxley’s. I bought him a pajama set in Henry Danger, and then bought a little eye mask. It was perfect for him, I figured he wouldn’t have worn an actual all-in-one costume.

I just love our neighborhood! Everyone is so friendly, and tons of kids for all the kids to play with. A few houses have big decorations, and one house even has a live haunted house going in the front yard. My parents joined us for Halloween, and walked around with us. Kevin was at the firehouse this year.

Saturday November 1.
Happy November 1st! It’s finally starting to feel more like fall now. Hadley had her last fall softball tournament, Saturday and Sunday. My parents came too! On Saturday, it was a costume contest. The team had all the different emotions from the Inside Out 2 movie. Hadley was anger, but had trouble looking angry in the photo haha! Hadley is improving more and more in her catching, we love watching her do what she loves! Her team went 2-0 on the first day of the tournament! Afterwards, we went out to eat to celebrate Kevin’s birthday earlier in the week at a Mexican restaurant by my parents house. They sang to him, and he got a piece of birthday cake. Hadley and Huxley asked to spend the night at their grandparents house, so they did! The younger Kevin and I would’ve gone out somewhere, the older Kevin and I sat on the couch and watched the game 7 of the World Series! I was dozing off and on, but it was a great game!

Sunday November 2.
Hadley’s first game wasn’t until 1:00pm, so we had a few hours in the morning plus with the timechange. We decided to put Huxley’s bed together! It was Brady’s old bed, after he moved out he decided he didn’t want it so we are giving it to Huxley! I’ve never seen a box spring you have to put together, and the mattress was wrapped up in saran wrap super tightly. After Kevin cut through the layers of wrap, the mattress literally flopped open! It was huge! Huxley is going to be so excited when he sees it!

Back to the ball fields! Hadley’s team wrapped up their fall season 4-0 for the last fall tournament! Hadley had a great weekend at the plate, she had some walks, bunts, and hits! And five of her teammates knocked out some home runs! Big shout out to Grandma and Grandad for helping with Huxley, they help out so much with him! And so thankful for this group of girls, coaches, and parents. It was a great way to end the fall season!

Once we got home, Huxley was so excited about his bed. After his sheets dried in the dryer, he was all snuggled up and ready to go to sleep. He slept amazing the first night in his new big boy bed!
