Happy Tuesday! How is everyone? It’s snowing here again, and all the schools are closed yet again. Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday January 26.
Snow day for the kids! I made Huxley a ramp out of cardboard, and taped a broom stick to make it straight. Didn’t work too well, but Huxley didn’t seem to mind. Kevin and the kids decided to go out in the snow, the kids wanted to play and Kevin shoveled the driveway. As they were getting all their snow gear on, I made them a few water balloons and put some food coloring inside. They threw the water balloons in the yard so they would freeze. After they froze, they looked like colored ice balls. While Huxley took a nap, Hadley and I did some painting. I found lots of ideas of things to do inside on a snow day. I printed a photo of her and I, cut it out, and painted the background by blending some colors, and added some stickers.
Hadley went to her first softball practice since fracturing her wrist. The coaches had some drills for her to do that were non-throwing drills. She was so anxious to go back to softball! Huxley and I were at home, and I made tacos. Huxley loves them! He loves to eat taco meat with crushed fritos and cheese in a bowl, and then he’ll put it all in a tortilla and eat it. He is not as picky as Hadley for sure.

Tuesday January 27.
Snow day #2! The frozen water balloons were pretty cool! Some of them weren’t totally frozen yet, but fun idea. I made Huxley a little parking lot out of cardboard, wrote letters and matched stickers on the cars for him to match the letters. He didn’t play with it as long as I thought he would. Went through the playroom, and got rid of two garbage bags full of toys to be donated. Huxley has been obsessed with putting his snow pants on and off, pretending he is putting on his fire gear. Kevin took Hadley to catching, she does lots of leg drills there! For dinner, I made creamy chicken bacon pasta, and Huxley had two servings of it!

Wednesday January 28.
Snow day #3 for the kids, but back to work for me! It was negative 1 degrees before I warmed up the truck. As I pulled into work, the dash said 3 degrees. I layered up for work, the heater hasn’t been working in my office so it’s been soo very cold. Kevin and the kids went to Sams, loaded up the white lightning aka Kevin’s car. Went out to dinner with my parents, it was nice to get out of the house!

Thursday January 29.
The only photo I took, was my workout after work. Nothing much else this day was too exciting.

Friday January 30.
Stopped by this cute little coffee shop on the way to work and got a hot chai tea. Worked out after work. And then we went to the boat show! First family outing in the white lightning haha Went to dinner at Skyline, and then headed to the boat show. The kids loved it! It was Huxley’s first time, and he was having a blast getting in and out of all the boats. We saw the water skiing squirrel Twiggy, I could not stop laughing!

Saturday January 31.
Woke up Saturday morning to no power! Someone hit a utility pole which knocked out a ton of residents in the area we live in. The truck crashed into two cars in their driveway. I’ve been reading about it on social media sites, and I think the guy left the scene because he was drinking and driving! So crazy! Since the power was going to be out until who knows when, we went to my parents house after softball practice. Huxley took a great nap there, and Hadley played Grandad in Halo haha

Sunday February 1.
Hadley got all of the trash in the upstairs as part of her chores. We had our garbage cans over flowing since trash didn’t pick up last Monday because of all the snow we got. We just hung out at the house all day. Hadley decided she wanted to cook dinner all on her own! She made chicken/cheese quesadillas and they were so good. She did a great job! Hadley has been making her bed for two weeks straight now, it looks like a comfy hotel bed with all those pillows neatly placed.
