Easter basket ideas.

Easter baskets are one of those little traditions that never stop being fun to put together. Every year I try to do a mix of a little candy, a little practical, and a little “this will make them smile.”

Since my kids are two very different stages right now, I thought it would be fun to share what I’m thinking about putting in Hadley’s basket (11 years old), and Huxley’s basket (4 years old) this year. If you’re filling baskets for both big kids and little ones, hopefully this gives you some fresh ideas!

šŸ„Ž Hadley’s Easter Basket (Age 11)

At age 11, Hadley is definitely in that tween stage where she still loves fun surprises but doesn’t need all toys anymore. Here are some ideas for my 11 year old girl!

CHOCOROOMS.
These are a crispy cracker with a chocolately cap! New thing to try. Chocorooms can be foundĀ here.

SOUR PATCH KIDS LIP GLOSS.
Hadley loves sour patch kids candy, so these would be a fun addition to the Easter basket. Lip gloss can be foundĀ here.

DUMPLING SQUISHY STRESS BALL.
These dumpling squishies are all the rage right now! It costs more to ship them than buy them, it’s crazy! Dumpling squishy can be foundĀ here.

DUSTLESS CHALK FOR KIDS.
Chalk might be more for Huxley, but Hadley enjoys using chalk sometimes too. The holders these come in are awesome! Chalk can be foundĀ here.

DUNKIN’ REFRESHERS JELLY BEANS.
Hadley likes the refresher drink at Dunkin, and the flavors come in jelly beans! How cute for Easter! Jelly beans can be foundĀ here.

SELF-CLOSING TOOTHPASTE CAPS.
Kids and toothpaste tubes are always such a mess! These toothpaste caps might help! Caps can be foundĀ here.

GARNIER CLEANSING WATER.
Hadley loves this cleansing water, and I love how it comes in the little travel sizes. Perfect size for my tweenager and her Easter basket! Cleansing water can be foundĀ here.

MURDLE JR.: CURIOUS CRIMES FOR CURIOUS MINDS.
Hadley loves a mystery book, and this sounds fun for her. Book can be foundĀ here.

šŸš“ Huxley’s Easter Basket (Age 4)

At age 4, they are in peak Easter magic mode, so this basket is all about fun and play. Here are some ideas for my 4 year old boy!

CHOCOROOMS.
These are a crispy cracker with a chocolately cap! New thing to try. Chocorooms can be foundĀ here.

MONSTER JAM BUBBLES.
What four year old doesn’t like bubbles? Almost any age kiddo loves bubbles! Monster jam bubbles can be foundĀ here.

SQUISHY FIDGET TOYS STRESS FOR KIDS AND ADULTS.
These squishies are everywhere now! Huxley loves them just as much as his big sister does. Squishies can be foundĀ here.

JELLY BELLY BUTTERED POPCORN.
Have to get Huxley some weird jelly beans too! Want to bet these taste gross? Jelly beans can be foundĀ here.

FIDGET STICKS.
I don’t know if these are too young for a four year old or not? Hadley might like them better than Huxley. Fidget sticks can be foundĀ here.

CREEPY CARROTS! BOOK.
A semi-cute book for Easter? Yes? Maybe? Book can be foundĀ here.

SPLASHEZ MOLD FREE CAR BATH TOYS FOR KIDS.
New bath toys for bath time! They say mold free, but I feel like every bath toy gets moldy. Bath toys can be foundĀ here.

SOAPEN KIDS’ ROLL-ON HAND SOAP.
We are always trying fun ways to get Huxley to wash his hands good! Roll on hand soap for kids? How fun! Hand soap can be foundĀ here.

🧺 My Favorite Easter Basket Tip

I try to think of Easter baskets as a tiny mix of spring surprises. A few treats, a few practical things, and a few toys that will actually get used over the next few months.

And honestly, half the fun is watching them dig through the basket on Easter morning.

Do you still make Easter baskets for your kids?

I’d love to hear what’s always a must-have in your baskets? My grandma used to give all of us grandkids a toothbrush every Easter!
