Happy Monday! How is everyone? Remember last week it was starting to feel like spring around here? It went from thirty degrees to eighty degrees, and back to the thirties! It’s crazy! I just want it to be one season lol. Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday March 16.
Huxley stayed home with his dad today. He slept until 9am, so Kevin decided to just keep him home with him. He had a few errands to do and he loved being home with dad. After school, Hadley had softball practice. Huxley and I stayed home, and it started snowing! This weather has been crazy!

Tuesday March 17.
Huxley went to school for just the morning, and Kevin picked him up to take a nap at home. I brought in my pistachio bread for work, everyone just loves that bread! I had a dentist appointment in the afternoon, to get my tooth that has been hurting so bad the last few months. Turns out I need to see a root canal specialist. Ugh. I hate everything about teeth! Hadley had catching at night, and she is doing so great with her wrist healing!

Wednesday March 18.
Worked out after work! And then my parents came over to hang out with the kids while I went to get my hair done. A highlight and trim! When I got home, it was time for Huxley to get a bath and then both kids to go to bed.

Thursday March 19.
Today was our employee retreat day at work, we went to Matthew 25: Ministries. There were a bunch of us that hadn’t been before and so they took us on a little tour of the place. They are an “international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization helping the poorest of the poor and disaster victims locally, regionally, nationally and internationally regardless of race, creed or political persuasion.” The group I was with separated and sorted clothes that were donated. After we volunteered, we all went to lunch, and then back to school (I work at a high school), and did an art therapy session led by the art teacher, it was fun! When I got home from work, we pretty much were outside until bedtime. It’s been so nice outside! Hadley has been tossing and catching all weekend. She’ll toss with me a little bit and then take turns and toss with Kevin. She even put on her catcher’s gear and practiced some more. Girl loves some softball!

Friday March 20.
I was so excited I had the day off of work, everyone got a day off from the raffle! Yay!! I promised the kids Dunkin Donuts before school, they each got munchkins and were excited! When I got home, I did a full thirty-minute workout, and it felt amazing! I need to do that more often; I’ve just been doing 20 minutes here and there for exercise. Next, I did the dishes and ate some lunch. I had eggs, yogurt and fruit, which seems to be my go-to lately. And then I went to TJ Maxx and Target and was super disappointed. The stores by our house haven’t had the best stuff lately and it was a bummer. No wonder why I shop online more than in the store. I’ve never been a shopper; I prefer to have a list and get what I need and get out. I’m not really much of a window shopper, unless it’s on Black Friday or special days like that. I got the kids a blue cake pop from Target and the kids had it after school. Huxley actually napped at daycare, so he was a happier kid after school and not cranky. He doesn’t nap the best at daycare. Kevin washed white lightning at the firehouse and loves to send me a picture of it! Hadley went over to a friend’s house; they played outside most of the time. Huxley and I chilled outside, even ate dinner outside!

Saturday March 21.
Started the day with a walk at the trail, by myself! Hadley volunteered to watch Huxley so after my walk I got her a Strawberry Cream Frappuccino from Starbucks, and then for both of them pancakes from McDonald’s. I guess everyone else in the area had the same idea because the drive thru lines were insane! We played outside and ate lunch outside. Huxley took a nice long nap, like three hours long! I love it when he takes those long naps! We had originally had plans to go to Kenwood Mall, and Hadley was going to shop for Nee-Doh’s using her dog sitting money. She is letting the neighbor’s dog out for the next few weeks while the lady is training for a new job. Our plans turned into Hadley going to a friend’s house and having a sleepover! So, I dropped her off at her friend’s house, and Huxley and I packed a picnic dinner and went to the park! He was so excited and was so good just being with me. We ate our sandwiches and food and then played on the playground. We brought his scooter and scootered over to the little kids’ playground for a little bit. And then we went to UDF to get some ice cream. He was so happy!
Hadley text me she was going to watch part of The Summer I Turned Pretty and fast forward some parts, like the kissing parts lol. I hope she always text me details like that! After Huxley went to bed, I went to the basement to finish up A Few Good Men on dvd, had some popcorn and just chilled. It was a great day!

Sunday March 22.
Before we had to pick up Hadley at her friend’s house, I did a thirty-minute workout while Huxley ate breakfast and watched a movie. He’s been eating so much lately, like he’s a growing young man. He had two eggs, toast, two yogurt tubes, and a banana. He opened his belated birthday gift from our cousins and played with that all morning, road magna tiles. After Kevin slept for a while and Huxley napped, Kevin cut the grass and then took the kids fishing. I stayed home and made dinner. I did a one sheet pan dinner with chicken, potatoes, and green beans. The potatoes weren’t done in an hour, but it was a decent meal. It was Huxley’s first-time fishing, and he was so excited to go. Before they left, Hadley was showing Huxley all the fishing things in the tacklebox, it was so cute. No fish were caught, but they still had fun!
After dinner we went outside to play. I had gotten Huxley his first baseball glove and he was beyond pumped to use it. We showed him how to put the glove on and said ok now toss with Hadley. His first reaction was to squat down like his catcher sister does! It was the cutest thing!

Way to go Mama! Love all of your walks and looks like the weather is cooperating!
What a lovely week; other than Monday’s snow it looks like you’ve had beautiful weather.
Ahh! It’s the same here. It was almost summer weather last week and this week is a lot chillier. It is crazy that you are still getting snow.
Eek! To the dentist. I hope you can get your tooth pain sorted soon.
What a wonderful day at the employee retreat helping out with the donations.
The kids look so happy with the Dunkin donuts.
