Happy Monday! How is everyone? Another trip to Children’s Urgent Care for Hadley, lots of walks, outside time, softball, and a concert at school! Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday April 20.
After we got home from school, we played outside for the little bit before we went to Children’s Urgent Care. We skipped softball practice tonight because Hadley got hit by a softball pitch on her left ankle bone at the tournament on Saturday! It was hurting her after two nights of icing it so we went to get it checked out to see what was going on. After a few x-rays of her ankle, nothing was broken thank god! It was just sprained which can take some time to heal. They gave her a brace to wear on her ankle, and to ice it as needed. I was just glad it wasn’t broken, she loves playing softball so much but I swear she is a target for sure!

Tuesday April 21.
Walked after work, and then picked up the kids. Kevin sometimes umpires grade school softball games, he had one game this night so Hadley and Huxley went with him. Hadley love to go with him, but we weren’t sure about Huxley going without me. I did not want to go lol So we let Hadley watch him, she was willing to, and it went just fine. Huxley is always a behaved kid when I’m not around!

Wednesday April 22.
Another walk after work. After I got the kids from school, they both just chilled on the couch. Watched movies, played, and just relaxed. It was nice to have nothing to do on a school night, it feels like we’ve been running ragged so much lately. After Huxley went to bed, Hadley asked me to try bubble braids on her hair a different way. It looked really cute, but I think her hair needs to be dry instead of wet.

Thursday April 23.
Walked after work. We all got ready, and headed to see Hadley’s concert with another school. This other school is a school for kids with disabilities, and each year the fifth graders work together to put on a concert for the parents and families. It was so great to see! Hadley’s job was to pass out programs. Once it started, each group had a different routine and music. When it came to Hadley’s group, we had no idea Hadley was lucky enough to push a young lady’s wheel chair! It gave me the chills towards the end, it really makes you think how grateful we are that our kids and ourselves are healthy and able.

Friday April 24.
Walked after work! I’m on a roll this week. And then we headed to Hadley’s softball game through her school. Kevin got to umpire her game too! After the game, we went home to pack for the weekend. Another softball tournament!

Saturday April 25.
My mom came over in the morning to pick up Huxley for the weekend, I’m so glad they are able to help us when they can. Softball tournaments can be super long. When we got the truck packed up, we headed out to Greensburg, Indiana. It’s not too far from us, but we still got a hotel because sometimes the games the next morning are 8am games! My parents would send us pictures of Huxley having fun at their house! He has a ball there, getting one on one undivided attention! They ended Saturday bracket play with a #1 seed.

Sunday April 26.
After a sketchy night at the hotel, I managed to find a workout machine that worked, the elliptical! The treadmill did not work haha. Kevin left to get Hadley and I some Starbucks, while Hadley sat in the hotel lobby talking to the other teammates that stayed in the hotel. Back to the ballfields for bracket play! They ended up coming in third place, losing before the semi-finals to the same team they’ve played in other tournaments. The other team is a nationally ranked team, who I feel just gets in these tournaments to win it all. But we are one of the only teams that give them some real competition!
After the tournament, we left to go pickup Huxley, went out to eat and then out for ice cream! Busy weekend. We all slept good for sure!
