Weekly Recap.

Happy Monday! How is everyone? Teacher appreciation week, walks at the trail, Cinco de Mayo, muffins with mom, and a softball tournament Hadley didn’t play in. Here is the recap…

Monday May 4.
This week is teacher appreciation week, one of my favorite weeks during the school year. I love showing appreciation to my kids’ teachers, they do so much for our kids and deserve to be thanked. I typically do a little something small everyday for the entire week. It does add up, as Hadley has four teachers in the fifth grade, and Huxley has two teachers at daycare, plus the four front office ladies. For Monday, I gave Huxley’s daycare little bookmarks. For Hadley’s teachers, I did candy and a mini pop can. After work, I walked at the trail. Always love to walk the trail!

Tuesday May 5.
For Tuesday, Hadley’s teachers got a water bottle with a little Dunkin Refresher’s pack of an energy drink. For Huxley’s daycare, they provided a note to fill out. After work, I worked out in the basement and then headed to meet my parents for Cinco de Mayo! At home, Kevin got take out from Cancun for the kids because they were jealous I was going to a mexican restaurant without them.

Wednesday May 6.
For Wednesday, Huxley’s teachers got items to stock the classroom with. Hadley’s teachers got gummy bears. After work, walked at the trail! Saw a guy on his bike, with his dog on his back in a back pack type thing, funniest thing I’ve seen on the trail. After the kids went to bed, I caught up on the show Paradise on Hulu. It’s sooo good!

Thursday May 7.
For Thursday, Huxley’s daycare got a variety of things! The main office ladies got mini pies, Huxley’s main teachers got a small gift card and lotion and chapstick that had teacher sayings on it. Hadley’s teachers got an orange drink! After work, I worked out in the basement. Kevin was at an event with the fire department, and had to wear the bomber outfit for a little bit. We got Huxley a watch, and he was soo excited!

Friday May 8.
For Friday, Hadley’s teachers got mini Target baskets that I found at Target, with a small gift card to Target, and lotion and chapstick that had teacher sayings on it. Huxley’s teachers got candy and a mini pop can. When I dropped Huxley off at daycare, they had muffins with mom and took pictures of us mom with the kids. It was so cute! After work, Kevin joined me at the trail and we walked for almost an hour! When we got home, the kids played outside. At Huxley’s daycare, they made little wooden spoons with their fingerprints on it. He showed it to me and it was so cute. And then, the little stinker took it outside and started digging in the dirt lmao.

Saturday May 9.
Woke up earlier thank usual on a Saturday, and drove Hadley to one of her softball friends’ house. Since she is in a boot for injuring her ankle, well getting hit with a pitch, she can’t play in the tournament. She really wanted to go to the tournament and be there with her team, but I wasn’t going to come if she wasn’t playing. So her coach, took her along with them. She was so excited. We picked up some donuts and coffee for them to take on their drive to the tournament.

On Huxley and I’s way home, we stopped at Meijer’s and grabbed a few things. And then I cleaned up the house a little, and set up the patio table out back. My parents came over to celebrate Mother’s Day early. Huxley took a great nap, all snuggly in his bed. My mom made a healthy pumpkin pie, and a healthy brownie. Hadley is so supportive with her softball team, she loved sitting in the dugout and helping out, cheering on her team.

Sunday May 10.
We met Hadley at her league games on Sunday, and just watching her in person be in the dugout was awesome. She would grab the bats after her teammates were at bat, she would cheer on the team, and do the music. She was a great leader! On our way out, Huxley was running to the truck and fell on the gravel. He scraped his knee, hand, and elbow.
