Happy What’s Up Wednesday! On the last Wednesday of every month, Shay and Sheaffer host a link up party of what’s going on with you right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post. I thought it would be fun to join along!

We’ve had this a lot this month, it’s a quick easy meal that everyone pretty much likes. Hadley will mainly eat the noodles, but she likes it for the most part. Recipe can be found here.
Hot dogs and macaroni and cheese is another favorite for the kids. Made a chuck roast for the first time, and I nailed it. It was super easy, and so good. Steak, asparagus, and potatoes are another staple at our house.

Thinking about this time last year, and how small Huxley was during swim team season. How I had to manage keeping him busy and calm during all those morning practices, and late night swim meets. This year is going to be an entirely different story, going to have to keep him contained in the stroller or wagon for as long as possible! Or I have to chase him around a pool which is not fun!

Loving how much Hadley has taken a liking to softball.
Loving Huxley and Kevin snuggling on the couch together.
Loving how after I work out, Huxley tries to grab the phone before the timer goes off.
Loving how great of a big sister Hadley is with Huxley. She is just the best.
Loving Hadley’s movie night.
Loving having a helper with planting flowers.
Loving getting two massages this month.
Loving having a night out to ourselves.
Loving whenever Kevin facetimes at the firehouse, Huxley manages to take at least five photos of Kevins face.

Softball practice at the batting cages, last Spanish class for Hadley, lots and lots of umpiring for Kevin, doctor visit for me and my back / left side, had four trees cut down, Kevin had two side jobs of mulching with a firefighter buddy, Grandparents day at Hadley’s school, early Mother’s Day dinner with my parents, planted flowers on Mother’s Day, had two massages that were absolutely amazing, my brother-in-law picked up a truck load of firewood, came down with a nasty stomach bug, Huxley had it, and then Hadley, celebrated one of Kevins firefighters retirement, both Hadley and Huxley got their haircut, swim team signups, end of the softball season treats, Hadley had her last day of school, Brady graduated high school, the pool opened and we swam twice, ate dinner on the back deck after Huxley went to bed, and Hadley had her first swim team practice. A very busy month!

The only thing I’m really dreading is doing swim meets solo with Huxley, they tend to be long!

Meal planning for the month of June, and how to factor in swim meets, and just swimming at the pool in general with meals.

Summer is officially here! I love watering my flowers, love going to the pool and the lake.

Ready for this month’s of what I’m watching? It’s a lot…

The Diplomat on Netflix, I’ve heard so many great things about this one but I just could not get into it. I think I watched 3-4 episodes, and I was bored. I love Keri Russell too, but this one was boring for me.

Another Keri Russell film, Cocaine Bear is on Netflix and it was okay. I wanted to watch it and see what all the hype was about. It’s almost comical it’s so bad. It’s basically about a bear that’s on cocaine and kills people. It’s bloody, and gross, but so bad.

I was ten years old when this case originally happened, so I wanted to see what it was really about. I thought this was a good documentary about the Menendez Brothers.

I like Amy Schumer, I think she can be funny but this series was just okay. It’s a little slow in the beginning, it gets a little better, but not the greatest. Amy wrote and directed this series.

Totally random find, Deep Water with Ben Affleck. Ben is a crazy husband who lets his wife have affairs, and then the story gets a little crazy at the end.

I’ve been into headbands lately, love them! My normal leggings, it’s sort of my everyday uniform. I managed to wear a jean skirt and a patriotic shirt for Memorial Day!

Our school / church festival!

Lots of pool time, hopefully make it to the lake a few times in between Kevins work schedule, and just have a great summer!

OH I really enjoyed The Diplomat a lot and I am not a huge Keri Russel fan. Good luck with the swim meets; wrangling a toddler at those is definitely going to be a challenge.
Thank you, I’ll find some way to entertain him probably lots of snacks! haha
