Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog! Doctor appointment, Reds opening day, egg coloring, and the ballpark for Easter!

Monday March 25
Started my Monday morning with a walking workout, I get lots of steps in when I do one of these long forty-five-minute walks. When Hadley got home from school, she hopped on the computer and did a practice quiz for a test she had that week. And her ear hurt, so I made a doctor’s appointment to get ahead of it before her spring break the next week. Huxley got a little upset at the doctor’s, thinking we were there for him! Before bed, did a cool face mask!

Tuesday March 26
Terrible news of the bridge collapsing in Baltimore. Huxley had his iPad in one hand, and Hadley’s phone in the other waiting for Hadley to get out of school. Dropped Hadley and her teammates off at softball practice. Later on, after the kids went to bed I made Hadley’s teacher a little gift for Easter. It wasn’t anything major, just something small because I really appreciate teachers! A large chocolate egg sucker, Reese’s Pieces candy, and a gift card to a local food place. Teachers do so much for our kids!

Wednesday March 27
Kevin left first thing in the morning to get his windows tinted on his new truck. I got to do a workout solo and relax a little afterwards with no one in the house! My computer got hacked, and it wasn’t a fun ordeal getting that fixed. Easy dinner for the kids and I, while Kevin worked a detail.

Thursday March 28
Happy opening day! Today is the start of baseball season! Kevin and I went to the game, and beforehand we help hold the American flag with the fire department. It’s a lot of fun! It was beautiful weather, and super crowded! My parents came over to watch the kids, and help Hadley get ready for softball. My Mom did a great job on Hadley’s hair! My Dad tossed ball in the yard with the kids.

Friday March 29
Hadley and I had her birthday date for the month of March. We walked around beforehand, and she spotted some Nike’s she wanted. $160 for a nine-year-olds shoes? No thanks! We went to a place where you can pay to do Legos, it was fun, and Hadley loved it! I’ll recap that more in detail later this month. Afterwards, we went to dinner and ate outside per Hadley’s request!

Saturday March 30
Did a long boring workout, this lady in the video talked non-stop and that always annoys me haha! I like it when they don’t talk and it’s just music. When Huxley took a nap, Hadley and I colored eggs! And we watched Peter Rabbit while we colored eggs. After Huxley’s nap, we went to a park and they both ran all over the place. I love the parks that are all fenced in, so Huxley can pretty much run all over and it’s not as nerve racking for me watching them. Had fish for dinner and made cookies we got from Kroger earlier that morning.

Sunday March 31
Happy Easter! Hadley found her basket right away, in the fireplace! The Easter bunny needs to find some new spots. We had pancakes, bacon, eggs, and goetta for breakfast. Put Huxley down for an early nap, which I wasn’t too sure how that would work but it was sort of okay. We had plans to go to the Reds game for Easter this year. My brother-in-law got us tickets, and we had a great time! Huxley lasted until the 8th inning, we went inside for the 9th inning and started walking to our car. The Reds of course had two home runs after we left, I think! It was a great day!

  1. What a fabulous week! That teacher’s gift is such a cute and sweet idea. The Easter eggs you all colored are so pretty. I miss doing that.. and each year I say I’ll just dye them myself but I never do because it’s just not as much fun.
