Planting flowers every year has been something we look forward to! We pretty much have it nailed down to a science. The flowers brighten up the yard! If you’d like to see how the front landscaping looked when we first moved in, you can read about that here. It was awful, no colors at all! The previous owners did not like flowers, they had tons of pine trees, bushes, and shrubs everywhere. We love all the flowers and bright colors we plant each year. Here are the flowers!
The front porch has a few potted flowers, and I have to say these are my favorite ones I’ve planted yet! We found a new to us garden center, and I’m a fan. They have such beautiful flowers that I’ve never seen before!

In the hanging basket, are petunias and verbenas.

The two potted plants on either side of the front door are an annual combo.

The two smaller plants are vincas, they are my favorite flower for the front yard.

The flowers in this blue planter, are my absolute favorite this year! In the middle are coleus, the green and purple ones. Around the outer rim of the planter are, Lucky Sunrise Rose. It’s the first time I’ve planted the Lucky ones, so I’m interested to see how they do this summer!

In the far-right corner of the porch, inside the planter is coleus and vinca.

The bright yellow bush like plants is called, Spirea Double Play Candy Corn. They are great! They turn red in the fall, and yellow in the spring / summer. They don’t need much water! The smaller green plants are hydrangea tiny tuff stuff. They eventually bloom pink tiny hydrangeas.

The smaller plants in the front are all vincas. They are my favorite like I mentioned above. They do great in direct sun, and this area of the front yard gets nothing but sun all day.

The five bushes in the back are called blue princess holly. They are a few years old and need some trimming or even maybe replacing. They are easy though, not much watering needed.

This is our large hydrangea little lime bush. I have no idea why this year there are no hydrangeas yet, in previous years we had huge lime ones, and they were beautiful!

On the back deck, we have two large planters of geraniums. Red and pink! They are pretty easy too; I water these about every other week.

Love the flowers this year!

Thanks for reading about our yard! We are so happy with how it’s turned out after all these years. It’s a lot of work, but worth it!

Your flowers are really lovely! I haven’t gotten any yet because we are still having such cold nights… but I’ll need to get some soon.
