Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog today. Thanksgiving break, haircuts, Thanksgiving, Black Friday shopping, volleyball, and the Christmas tree! Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday November 25
Hadley was at my parents from a sleepover the night before, we needed someone to watch her just one day on her Thanksgiving break, Huxley was at daycare so he didn’t spend the night. After I got off work, I had teacher conferences for Hadley. After conferences, I picked up Huxley from daycare, and then picked up Hadley to head to softball. When Huxley goes to bed, he likes to put things outside of his door and they go to bed too. He’ll put his trucks on their sides so they are sleeping, it’s the cutest thing.

Tuesday November 26
Kevin put up the Christmas lights in the morning, I was talking to him through the cameras at one point. It was funny! I worked out after I got home from work, and then Hadley and I went to Ulta so she could spend another gift card she got from her birthday. Huxley and Kevin had haircuts, and then we picked up Chipotle for dinner.

Wednesday November 27
This was my first time working at the school when the kids were off, the halls were super quiet and a little creepy! I had a highlight and a cut after work. Kevin and the kids went to his parents while I stayed home and had a night all to myself. I came home from the salon, ate dinner, watched Christmas movies, and did whatever I wanted!

Thursday November 28
Slept in and did a long workout. Got ready to go to the lake for Thanksgiving. When I got there, Kevin had put cones all around his truck it was hilarious! Over the summer my sister-in-law had backed up the gator into this truck and did a number on his door. Kevin fried and smoked two turkeys, and I have to say the fried turkey is my favorite! Huxley loved running around and all the people there. It was nice to see everyone, it had been too long!

Friday November 29
I met my mom and aunts to shopping on Black Friday! I surprised them with coffee and tea, and in the kiddie cups I brought my Aunt Linda bourbon cream, and my mom Kahula. They loved it! My Aunt Amy and I both drink chai teas, so not additions for us! In between shopping, we stopped for lunch and a cocktail. The crowds weren’t too bad first thing in the morning, but as the day went on it started getting more crowded.

Saturday November 30
Worked out first thing in the morning, and then headed to Hadley’s volleyball game. We were so happy to have Kevin home and to be able to go to her game. While Huxley took a nap, Hadley made her chocolate pretzels she got as a gift for her birthday! After Huxley’s nap, we put up the Christmas tree! It was Hadley’s turn to put up the angel. As we put up the tree, our elf on the shelf arrives! Her name is Snitch, and she flew into the bourbon shelf haha After Huxley went to bed, we watched the first Christmas movie of the season Home Alone in our bed. Huxley has now thrown two toys at our new tv, and it went completely blank.

Sunday December 1
Started the day with a workout. Put together the delivery treat box for the season. I made this goodie basket last year and you can read more about it here! We display our Christmas cards on the basement door, and we received the first one this week. Huxley and I went outside and I fluffed the mini Christmas trees on the porch, and then used the leaf blower to clear off the front porch. Huxley got his giant bubble gun and pretended he was blowing the driveway. Since we have no tv in the family room, I let the kids watch the iPad for dinner. We ate in the darkish, next to the Christmas tree.

  1. It sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am not a black Friday shopper but it does sound like you had lots of fun shopping and hanging out with your family.
