Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog today. President inauguration, softball, Huxley’s room, trivia night, a healthy ten year old, and more. Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday January 20
Hadley and I were both off of school and work for MLK day. Started the day with a workout! And then we watched the President inauguration. Kevin was home today, so I took Hadley to softball practice solo for once! I took all of Huxley’s birthday invitations and wrote out all the addresses.

Tuesday January 21
It’s been bitter cold this week! Like so cold it takes your breath away! Took Hadley to the doctor for a sore throat, she didn’t feel bad or anything just had a bad cough and a hoarse voice. Tested negative for strep which is good! We decided to officially move Huxley into his new room, all his furniture, bed, etc. After the kids went to bed, Kevin and I started watching Landman now that we finished The Lioness. Both such good shows!

Wednesday January 22
Hadley’s school was closed due to the cold temperatures, so I worked from home. We took Huxley to daycare, because I can get way more done with him not home. Hadley did such a great job of cleaning out her room, and organizing it. She can’t wait to get her desk she got from Christmas, setup in her room. My parents came over before dinner to watch the kiddos. I had plans for trivia night with my high school, it was fun and our team came in third place!

Thursday January 23
Back to work and school for everyone! Worked out after I got home from work. Hadley had Spanish after school. And then Kevin had a softball meeting to go to. Busy Thursday!

Friday January 24
Worked out after work. And raced to Hadley’s school to pick her up a little bit early for her doctor’s appointment. Her ten year old checkup! We got there early, so I surprised her with a trip to Starbuck’s. We really liked the doctor we saw for this visit, and Hadley is healthy as can be. When Kevin came home from work, he took Huxley up for his bath and bed.

Saturday January 25
Worked out first thing in the morning, and then headed off to softball! While Hadley was at softball, Huxley and I did some running around. We went to Home Depot and got some plain white paint, we are going to paint Hadley’s old dresser for Huxley’s room. The dresser needs a fresh coat of paint, it’s already white. While we waited for the paint to be ready, Huxley was loving the lawn mowers. He was looking at them so intently, asking what each part is. I am on my second audio book! I’m not too sure if I’m a fan of this second audio book, but I’m going to give it a few more chapters and see if it gets any better. We came home from softball, Hadley took a shower, and Huxley took a nap. After Huxley woke up from his nap, we drove back to Kentucky to drop Hadley off at a softball friends house for a sleepover. On our way home, we waited in the long line for a car wash. Huxley is such a trooper, he was in the car so long today. So when we got home, I let him just chill on the couch. We watched movies on the big tv, watched shows on his iPad, and played in between all of that. After dinner, we just played on the couch. He was missing Hadley, he kept grabbing her things like her blanket and saying he misses her. ♥

Sunday January 26
Worked out first thing in the morning with my little man, he loves to get in the picture with me. Went to pick up Hadley at her friends house in Kentucky. Huxley was glad she was back! I ordered a sampler pack from Bucked Up that had some pre-workout packs to try along with a free shaker bottle! Here is the website, but the deal I ordered from was only like $19.99! The website is here! We changed out the knobs on Hadley’s new to her dresser and it looks great! I looked at knobs at Home Depot, and Amazon and the ones from Amazon were way cheaper! They might not be the best quality, but for a kid’s dresser, they will do just fine. Amazon knobs can be found here.

  1. Your shirt on Monday says it all, lol!! Should be much warmer this week in southwest Ohio. YAH :).

  2. Definitely very similar temps here- ugh! How many days until spring? Great job keeping up with your workouts. LOVED inauguration day 🙂

  3. That trivia night sounds so fun! You had a really fun and full week. I pretty much refused the leave the house last week and just hung out by the woodstove.

  4. A very full week Mandy – and you did well if the outside temperatures were that cold. Here in Australia we’re basking in the middle of a hot, dry summer….so it always gives me a bit of a headspin to see others all rugged up with the fire going.
