What’s Up Wednesday – March 2025.

Happy What’s Up Wednesday! On the last Wednesday of every month, Shay and Sheaffer host a link up party of what’s going on with you right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post. I thought it would be fun to join along!

Lots of hamburgers and cheeseburgers. The kids love a good cheeseburger on the grill.

Loving watching Hadley practice softball.
Loving Huxley’s vocabulary growing more and more.
Loving how much Hadley helps with Huxley without being asked.
Loving that Kevin puts Huxley to bed most nights when he’s home.
Loving the break some weeks.

Dunkin donuts on a Sunday morning.
Steak dinner for my birthday.
Taking Hadley to softball practice solo.
Taking Hadley to her school book fair.
Ran 1.5 miles two times.
Catching up with my friend Christy at a new place.
Hadley having a sleepover at a softball teammates house.
Watching Hadley serve at mass.
Celebrating Huxley turning 3.
Walking at the park with the kids, playing on the playground, and then Chipotle for dinner on the way home.
Celebrating my birthday a few weeks later with my parents, at a new to us place for dinner.
Random day off on a Thursday.
Date night at a brewery.

Going to any of Hadley’s sporting events (softball, swimming, and volleyball this summer) solo with Huxley. I am always with him yes, but it seems like he’s a completely different kid when he’s just with me, verses when his dad is around.

Trying to eat better…again. Figuring out Easter basket things.

Summer. Period.

Watching:
Adolescence on Netflix – terrible horrible short series of four episodes. Do not recommend watching. Bad acting, and bad plot. Just overall bad.
American Murder Gabby Petito on Netflix – a great documentary of the story and how important it is to ask for help. Gabby was such a bright young lady who had a whole future ahead of her.
Yellowjackets on Paramount+ – What a weird, odd show, but I want to know what happens so I kept watching. Season 3 just came out, but I haven’t started it yet!
Zero Day on Netfilx – I’ve heard so many mixed rumors on this one, I’ll let you be the judge of that. It was interesting, and I do believe there are some underlying messages in the series.
Dateline Lori Vallow Daybell: The Jailhouse Interview on Peacock – A nutcase job of a mother!
The Fall of Ruby Franke on Hulu – Another nutcase of a mother! I have no words. I don’t know why I watch these documentaries that involves children, it is hard to watch.

Reading:
Kristin Hannah The Great Alone – I loved this book! I started listening to books on the Libby App this year and have read/listened to more than I thought I would have by now. I plan to write a post about it sometime this year. I love listening to books rather than reading them. I want to read The Nightingale next by this author!
Laura Dave The Last Thing He Told Me – Currently reading.
