Weekly Recap (Two Weeks).

Recapping the last two weeks on the blog today! It’s been a crazy month of April so far, and I’m so behind on the blog. Here is the last two weeks, and it feels good to share it finally. Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday April 7
Huxley potty training has been going really good! He went to the bathroom before he went to school this morning, first time he’s ever done that so we celebrated and made a big deal like every time! After work, Hadley took a short walk with me before we picked up Huxley from school. Played outside and Huxley brought his cars in the garage and just hung out. Hadley had softball. She loves her new alarm clock for her room, it changes colors every few seconds and brightens up her whole room.

Tuesday April 8
I ordered Hadley a new softball sweatshirt from this new company called Strike3, she wore it to school this morning. She sure loves her blue. I’ve been super busy at work lately, and I usually use my little file thing on my desk for catch all stuff but lately to keep all the interviews straight I made each file a label. Cut the grass after work. Grilled out steaks for dinner. Huxley loves to go in and out when we grill on the back deck.

Wednesday April 9
Kevin worked lunch duty! I worked out after work. Kevin, Hadley, and Huxley all had haircuts after school. Later that evening, I had my sports meeting at Hadley’s school. It was a busy Wednesday!

Thursday April 10
I took the kids to Sams club after work; we needed just a few things there. Anytime we go to Sam’s, Huxley loves to look at the books there!

Friday April 11
I have my work computer screen set to the background that changes every time you turn it on. This particular background was awesome, clear blue water and green fields. We went to dinner for my dad’s birthday, and then when we got home Huxley pooped on the potty for the first time! He gets a prize anytime that happens, so as always, it’s a big deal in our house!

Saturday April 12
Ate lunch by the window on the bench, looking for turkeys. While Huxley took a nap, Hadley hung out with her friend down the street and her friend. Seeing the girls walk down the street together just makes me smile, I love that Hadley has kids her age on our street. Huxley moved on to this second potty chart! We dropped Hadley off at a friends birthday party / sleepover. Huxley and I at home, waiting for Kevin to get home. He brought Huxley home some Easter things he had gotten from a Easter egg hunt he went to while at the firehouse. Hadley took a few photos on her “emergency” phone she brings when she’s not with us.

Sunday April 13
What the living room / playroom looks like after just a few minutes of Huxley being home. Picked up Hadley from her sleepover, came home and chilled for a little bit. And then went back out to church so Hadley could serve. After church and Huxley’s nap, we reorganized the garage a little bit.

Monday April 14
Worked out after work. When Huxley got home from school, he pooped in the potty again and got a prize! Hadley had softball practice. Huxley slept with a pillow in his crib for the first time.

Tuesday April 15
Everyone has a sign outside their door at work, and they finally put my name as “Mrs”! It had been “Ms” forever! Hadley had a showcase at her school, it’s when the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders all sing songs and play instruments. It was cute and I’m glad I was able to go. Worked out after work, and Hadley has been into making smoothies on her own lately!

Wednesday April 16
Huxley had an Easter egg hunt at school this morning, so we brought a basket for him to use. He was excited walking in that morning. Worked out after work. The teachers sent a few pictures of the Easter egg hunt, Huxley looked so happy and excited! When we got home, he opened all of his eggs, and he got quite a few new toys including kinetic sand and he loved it! We must’ve played with the sand for an hour!

Thursday April 17
I was off work today, and I was so excited to have the day to myself and to finish up some last-minute Easter basket items. I got a call from Huxley’s school in the morning saying he had thrown up and I need to come get him. He laid on the couch for a little bit, ate lunch, and then took a good nap. As he was taking a nap, Kevin woke up and I ventured out to do some errands. I’ve been loving the Alani energy drink; they taste pretty good! After Huxley’s nap, he was acting like nothing had happened that morning and was his usual self. So I don’t know what the throwing up was, but it was a one-time thing thank goodness! Kevin wanted me to look for readers at Kroger, yes, we are at that age! And then I bought a roasted chicken for dinner for $5! It was pretty good! After dinner, we colored eggs. Huxley was so so patient, I was shocked. Hadley loved playing around with all the colors.

Friday April 18
Off work for Good Friday, and Hadley was off school. We dropped Huxley off at school, and I always feel so guilty taking him to school when I don’t have to work. We went to pick up a new to us table from Facebook marketplace. It was super cheap, but super functional for the kitchen. On our way back home, I stopped at McDonald’s and got Hadley some hotcakes for breakfast. I cleaned the table pretty good, and we both showered and just took our time chilling at home. We went to Old Navy and did some returns, and then went to Ulta and Hadley bought two things with her own money. And then we picked up Huxley at school. Hadley had her first round of Friday night games in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Huxley was so so good, he loves being outside! Hadley’s team won both games.

Saturday April 19
Hadley and Huxley found a bug in the windowsill and was trying to get the bug to play with Huxley’s little mini toys. Ate breakfast on the new table, they like it! I did a workout in the garage with some weights, and the kids played outside all morning. It was so nice out! Around lunch time, Huxley started to say his ear hurt and started acting moody. Gave him some Motrin before nap but I made him an appointment at the Little Clinic at our Kroger. After his nap, we played outside a little bit and Huxley was just having a bad day. He was super cranky, and very moody about every little thing. We went to the doctor at the Little Clinic; she looked in his ears and he had a double ear infection! Poor guy. After waiting an hour for his antibiotics, we finally got home to eat dinner. After dinner, he turned for the worse and looked so bad. Gave him some more Motrin, and hoped for a good night sleep.

Sunday April 20
Happy Easter! Huxley slept pretty good the night before and woke up just fine today! It’s amazing what one dose of antibiotics will do. By this time, he had had two doses in his system and didn’t talk about his ears one time today. We went to my parents for brunch, and then to Kevin’s cousins for dinner. It was a long day, but the kids were so good. And we had the best weather too! Love it when we can be outside for Easter and not stuck inside a house. What a busy two weeks, and it feels good to catch up!
