Weekly Recap.

Recapping the week on the blog today! Girls dinner, swim meet, softball tournament, and the pool! Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…

Monday June 16
Started the week with going to work. Hadley skipped swim team practice because she had an orthodontist appointment. My mom took Hadley to her long orthodontist appointment, she got an expander put on, along with her braces that are already on. I got my hair highlighted after work, came home and worked out, and then went to dinner with the high school girls. Kevin was working overtime until 5pm, he picked up Huxley at daycare, we had Brady take Hadley to softball, and then Kevin and Huxley went to softball. It was a busy Monday!

Tuesday June 17
Hadley had swim practice in the morning, thankful for our swim friends parents that can take her while I’m at work. Once I got home from work, I booked our vacation we are taking in August! And my parents are coming too! Hadley plays with Huxley after daycare, he has so much energy all the time!

Wednesday June 18
A picture of the beach, along with a great saying! My mom took Hadley to swim practice this morning. At my work, we are doing a lot of renovating inside so their are tons of construction guys all over and all of their things. During lunch, I took one of their carts and put all of my plants on it to water them all at once. Huxley had a movie day at school, Moana! Worked out after work, and then just chilled. Huxley laying with Hadley on the couch, so cute when they are lovey dovey!

Thursday June 19
I was off work for “Juneteenth”! Everyone slept in this day and it was great! Huxley still went to daycare, but he slept in longer than his usual. He is the biggest staller when it comes to getting ready in the mornings with me. He wanted to read a book on our bed before he got dressed. Checked on Hadley before I took Huxley to daycare, and she was just waking up.

When I got back from dropping off Huxley, I cut the grass. I no longer have a FitBit (it broke), so I just use the regular timer on my phone to log how long I do something. It took me about 40 minutes to cut the front yard. My husband has this stupid striper on the back of the push mower, and it makes it so hard to cut. It does look nice, it’s just a pain and I hate it haha

After I showered, I took Hadley to McCallister’s for lunch. She had never been there, and she liked it! After lunch we went to Target and Big Lots, got a few things but nothing crazy. It was nice to just be with Hadley on my off day. After we got back from shopping, I prepped all the snacks for Hadley’s swim meet. Kevin got his Father’s Day gift all working, and ready for the weekend. Hadley had a good swim meet, she shaved some time off her freestyle, and had the same time on her backstroke.

Friday June 20
Another bonus off day yay! Started out my morning with taking a walk around the neighborhood. Huxley was having a nature walk at school, I just love how they send us parents pictures during the day.

During the months of June and July, Hadley’s softball team will have tournaments that start on Friday’s! Because the kids are out of school, but what about the parents that work? Luckily I was off work, and so was Kevin. It felt weird not holding anything, walking into a softball field, and no Huxley. He went to daycare again, like a normal day for him. It was super hot. Hadley’s team played on turf the first two games, they aren’t fans. The ball bounces everywhere, and they just aren’t used to it. Lost the first game, won the second game. Huxley at school playing with balloons & bubbles! We picked Huxley up in between games, and he loved the misting fans!

After the games, we headed to a friends graduation party! The pool was open & the kids loved it!

Saturday June 21
Day two of softball tournament! Both games were in the morning, they lost both games, badly. They were off their game. Huxley and I headed home for him to nap, Kevin and Hadley went to lunch with Kevin’s parents. After nap, we went to a pool birthday party for one of Hadleys softball teammates. The pool was super nice, we didn’t want to leave. I didn’t take one picture of Hadley, she was having a blast with her teammates. All the girls get along so well, and the parents aren’t so bad either haha!

Sunday June 22
Day three of softball tournament. Won the first game, lost the second. She had a three run single, and advanced to second on the throw home! Everyone was cheering and I was watching on the game changer app! The misting fans came in so handy, it was such a hot weekend. Huxley and I came to the second game. I put him in his bathing suit top and trunks, so he could get wet with the misting fan and be cooled off. He loved it! For the second game, it was a tough loss. After the game, we went straight to the pool, and the water felt amazing! So proud of our girl Hadley, she played great in the tournament! Even if they did lose, she had some good plays & hits!
