Happy Tuesday! How is everyone? We are supposed to get more snow this week, with ice! Ugh. Can’t it just be spring already? Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap…
Monday February 16.
Hadley and I were off for President’s Day, but Huxley’s school was open. I felt bad taking him while we were going to be home, but we had a plan for the day. Since I felt bad, I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and got him a donut to take to school and they gave us a free book! So that was a plus! Once I got back home, Hadley and I went to work in her room. The before photo was a hot mess. We threw a lot away, and rearranged a little bit too. Her room looks so much bigger now! After we deep cleaned her room, she requested to go to lunch at Skyline! It was a fun day with just Hadley. And I picked up Huxley right after his nap at school so he wasn’t there all day.
Tuesday February 17.
I bought one of those temperature gauges for my office at work. Some days it can be frigid, and some days it can be super warm. Worked out after work. I haven’t been moving my body a lot lately, still coughing and blowing my nose constantly. I feel much better than I did last week, but it’s still lingering. I went to dinner with a friend this night, and Hadley convinced Kevin to get takeout at Cancun. Her favorite is white cheese!
Wednesday February 18.
One of the perks of working at a school, is I don’t have to go to Ash Wednesday mass after work! I can go during all school mass! Went to the trail and walked, it felt so good to get some fresh air. We played outside with the kids for a little bit, it was a little chilly but nice!
Thursday February 19.
Worked out after work! Kevin and Huxley went to the lake for two days! Huxley was so so excited! My in-laws live on a lake, and Huxley just loves to go down there. Especially loves to play around on the gator in the garage, and go on gator rides. Kevin had bought one of those utility wagons on that Bidfta site, and I had to go pick it up during the timeframe they give which happened to be today when Kevin isn’t home. He said it was one of those big ones that can hold 300+ pounds, and can put the camping chairs underneath. We are wanting to get a bigger one for softball. So I get to the place to pick up the wagon, and it wasn’t the big one haha. I could hold it with one hand, and you can see how small it was in the back trunk of Kevin’s Pilot. Too funny! Hadley and I started a show to watch together, we watched it in the basement because we couldn’t find the remote for the upstairs tv.
Friday February 20.
Day two at the lake for Kevin and Huxley. He text me pictures of him sleeping in until 8:30am! Well, he said Huxley woke up at 6am and Kevin told him it’s too early go back to bed so he did until 8:30! He would text me pictures and say “guess what we’re doing now?” They would be back outside in the garage climbing on the gator. After work and school, Hadley wanted to get a Crumbl cookie, and Starbucks, and pay for it herself. She ended up picking a chocolate dubai brownie! It was huge, and delicious because she let me try a bite. While we were watching some tv, she showed me her certificate of academic honors! I am so proud of her! After Hadley went to bed, I started working on the goodie bags for Huxleys birthday party.
Saturday February 21.
Huxley turns 4 today! Read this sweet post I wrote about him here. He had a police officer birthday party, he was the police officer and Hadley was the robber girl! It was the cutest and had so much fun. In case you missed it, I wrote a post all about the police officer birthday party here.
Sunday February 22.
Kevin was at the firehouse and we just chilled for the day. Well, Hadley had catching in the morning but it was 10 minutes away from our house which was nice. We measured both Hadley and Huxley on their rulers in their room. I don’t think I did Huxley’s right, but oh well close enough haha! Huxley got a timer for his birthday because he loves to have us set a timer for anything. So we set a timer before we went up for nap. Just a chill Sunday, and I spent most of the day cleaning up from the party the day before.
