Happy Tuesday! How is everyone? I cannot keep up with life lately! Is it summer yet? I’m ready for more chill vibes around here. Here is the recap…
Monday April 6.
Hadley was on spring break this week! I was off work for Easter Monday, and we kept Huxley home too! Kevin slept most of the day from being at the firehouse the day before. We didn’t do much but be at home and have nothing to do which is nice. Hadley got ready for softball practice, and wore her new blue crocs she got from the Easter bunny at Grandma’s house. After we dropped Hadley off at practice, Huxley and I went to Meijer’s to get a couple of things. He had a jammie day as you can tell. He loves to ride the horse as we leave that store.

Tuesday April 7.
Back to work and school for Huxley and I! Kevin was at his part time fire job. I worked out in the garage after I picked Huxley up from daycare, it worked out great because he played and I got my steps. Hadley did some fun art things during the day from her Aunt Amy’s little goodie bag she dropped off the other day. And then off to catching for Hadley!

Wednesday April 8.
To help break up some of the days Hadley was on spring break, she went over to our cousins house to hangout. She played games, played outside, had fun hanging with her cousins. My mom came over later that afternoon, to pick up Hadley to have a sleepover at Grandma and Grandad’s house. After Hadley left with my mom, Huxley and I checked the mail and played outside. He loves wearing those darn yellow work gloves Grandma’s Easter bunny got him.

Thursday April 9.
Some days when Huxley comes home from daycare, he is starving. I would guess some days he doesn’t eat all of his lunch because he doesn’t like it haha. Walked on the trail and it’s always the best walking outside by myself with headphones on. My mom met me at the fields where Hadley practices for her school to drop her off, but we ended up hanging out there during the practice, while Huxley ran around and played.

Friday April 10.
Off work for Hadley’s last day of spring break! Worked out in the morning. Kevin took the truck to get an oil change. And then we all went to see the new Mario movie, Super Mario Galaxy! The kids love to bring their blankets and stuffies for the movie. This will be Huxley’s second movie now! After the movie we went home, ate lunch, and Huxley napped. Later on, Kevin got ready to go umpire a grade school softball tournament. Hadley went with him because she’s just obsessed. Huxley and I watched the splashdown of the Artemis II, he has been loving all the spaceship stuff.

Saturday April 11.
Hadley a softball game with her school team, and man it’s tough to watch when we are so used to her travel ball team. I’m glad she gets to play though. One of her other friends little brothers was there so Huxley played with him most of the time. Her team won! Afterwards we went to McDonald’s for lunch, we ate inside because the kids always beg to eat in at places. Huxley’s new thing with taking pictures is to do a regular picture, and then a funny face picture, whatever gets him to smile!
After Huxley took a nap, we went to dinner to celebrate my dad’s birthday. A new to us place called, MadTree Parks & Rec, it was a Saturday so it was super crowded. We ate inside, and then went outside so the kids could play. It was insane! The amount of feral kids that were there, not being watched by their parents? It was crazy. I get a little stressed when I can’t physically see my kids at all times, Hadley I don’t worry about as much especially since she stayed in one neutral location. But Huxley wandered all over and it’s just hard for me to relax in that type of environment.

Sunday April 12.
The kids slept in a little, and then we had to get ready for Hadley’s Sunday softball league. Hadley and I left, and since she has to be there an hour before game times I decided to walk a little instead of sit in my car and scroll my phone. It was super windy, but felt amazing. Kevin was going to bring Huxley after his nap, but Huxley didn’t want to come so they just stayed home. Hadley had a much better game than last week. She was on fire behind the plate! They lost the first game, and won the second game.
When we got home, Huxley and Kevin were outside playing and cutting the grass. We grilled hamburgers for dinner, and just stayed outside. At one point, our neighbors had a friend stop by and Huxley just walks over like he knows them and stands there with them all while they talked.
