Weekly Recap.

Happy Monday! How is everyone? Life has been busy lately and I miss blogging so much! Here is the recap from the week…

Monday May 11.
Kevin is the best at wrapping Huxley’s boo boos. He likes to have his hand wrapped to go to school so he doesn’t bump it on anything or better yet, get it dirty with daycare germs! After work, I walked the trail and cut the grass! A double workout sort of. After school, Hadley had a checkup on her ankle to see how it was doing from being in a boot for a week. Hadley says it’s fine, and doesn’t want to wear the boot anymore. The sports medicine guy says she can do whatever feels best for her. So of course, she didn’t want to wear the boot anymore. We had her wear it to school a few more days, and then go from there.

Tuesday May 12.
Huxley stayed home with Kevin today, he loves it when he gets to do that! He helped him put the mulch into piles so we can get the front ready for new flowers! After work I walked at the trail, my favorite thing! I did the chat GPT trend and asked it to dress us up for the Met Gala, Kevin doesn’t even look himself in the face, but I like how we are dressed! After school, Kevin took Hadley to the Reds game, they had good seats from my brother-in-law. A few weeks ago we had sent my dad a Reds jersey and it finally came! He sent us a pictures of him in the jersey.

Wednesday May 13.
Worked out after work, did a YouTube video. And then we headed across the river to eat dinner at this pizza place. The proceeds were going to a family who had lost their two sons in a house fire recently. Kevin actually met us over there, and his fire house ordered pizza to go. We got to see him for a few minutes, and even better, the kids got to see him drive off in the fire engine. We waited forever for this pizza, it was okay, the kids were freezing outside, but it went to a good cause and was something different to do for dinner.

Thursday May 14.
Walked at the trail after work! And then Hadley had softball practice with her school team. Chill low key day!

Friday May 15.
Field day for Hadley! Her color was red this year, so we got her a little red tutu and yes I was shocked she wanted one! And a leg thing, and her red Nike shoes. She wanted her hair braided in three braids, and then braid the braids together. It looked pretty cute! And then field day shirts were designed by the 8th graders, so cute! The house across the street from her school always does such cute things with her skeletons, she dressed them up for field day! After I dropped the kids off at school, I walked at the trail bright and early. I came home and prepped some breakfast sandwiches, light whole wheat english muffins with eggs, and bacon. A mom sent me a picture of Hadley and some of her friends at field day.

Later on that night, we went to the firehouse where Kevin was and waited for him to get off work at 7pm. And then we walked across the street to the festival. We love festivals in the summer! The kids rode some rides, played some games, and walked around. It was fun!

Saturday May 16.
Did a YouTube workout in the morning. And then we all went to buy our flowers for the yard. We love this place, they are so friendly and will help you with anything you need. Plus, they even had lunch provided for free to any customers who came that day! The kids ate a mett that they both thought was a hot dog haha We came home and Huxley took a nap, Kevin took a nap, and Hadley and I just chilled. Later on, Hadley had to serve at church so I went with her and the boys stayed home. She does such a good job serving, she was the only one that showed up this night. After dinner, we just chilled and hung out watching tv. Huxley was doing YouTube dances and it was cracking us up. It was nice to have Kevin home for an entire Saturday!

Sunday May 17.
I waited until Hadley’s games to walk, since she has to be there an hour before games. I walked the trail at the ballfields for about forty minutes. This was her last game for the league they play in on Sundays. After the games, we went out to eat with some of the other parents. And then home! Huxley played outside with the hose, he could play with that hose for hours!
