Happy Monday! How is everyone? Linking up with Holly and Sarah! Here is the recap from the week…
Monday June 8.
Started the week with swim team practice first thing Monday morning. Sometimes, swim team seems like a lot. It’s almost everyday, and a swim meet once a week, but it’s only for the month of June and goes by so fast. Hadley loves swimming! And it’s good for her to do other things. Since we had a long weekend away at softball, we kept Huxley home from daycare. After swim team practice, we went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe, both Hadley and Huxley love smoothies! After work, we set up the backseats up in the Honda and Huxley wanted to sit back there and try it out. Kevin usually drives the Honda, but sometimes we switch. For softball carpool, we put the back seat up so the girls could sit back there and not be so crammed in the middle row with Huxley’s car seat. It’s an older Honda Pilot that has a third row, that is usually down to hold all of Kevin’s fire gear.
Tuesday June 9.
After work, I cut the grass and was sweating my booty off! It was hot! Hadley had catching later on, it was hot in there too!
Wednesday June 9.
While Kevin and Hadley were at softball practice, Huxley and I went to the pool! We love going to the pool after school / work hours. It’s so relaxing, and the kids love it. As Kevin and Hadley were on their way home from softball, Hadley had one of her softball friends come home with them to have a sleepover. They took a photo of her friend who could almost fit in Huxley’s car seat. I was cracking up at the picture!
Thursday June 10.
Hadley’s friend went to swim team practice with her, and Kevin said she was like “man this is hard” lol. After swim team, Kevin and the girls went home and hung out, ate lunch, etc. And then went back up to the pool for a little bit. Hadley had her first swim meet tonight! We got up there early, Kevin got the grill and Blackstone all set up. Huxley loved just running around and being free. He took his shirt and shoes off, and was running around barefoot. He is such a good sports sibling! Hadley had three events this meet, individual freestyle, individual backstroke, and the freestyle relay.
Friday June 12.
It’s Friday! It was wear your favorite Disney character day, and show and tell day. Huxley doesn’t really have a favorite Disney character, so he wore a Buzz Light Year shirt, and brought in one of his cars for show and tell. He was excited! After work, I walked at the trail and then picked up lunch for Hadley. It was a special meal for the World Cup, it came with a plastic cup of one of the players that we have no clue about because we don’t do soccer.
After we picked up Huxley from school, we got ready to head to the pool. Hadley signed up for a Friday night youth volleyball league at the pool. While she played volleyball, Huxley and I swam at the pool. I was so proud of her for wanting to do this volleyball league, and only knowing a few people. Huxley was showing one of Hadley’s friends moms how he’s working on going under water! He is slowly getting more and more brave! I feel like he’ll be going under and jumping in by the end of this summer!

Ahhh summer! Your time at the pool looks and sounds so fun- I am jealous 🙂
That sounds like such a lovely and busy summer week. I love all the pool time. We don’t have community pools up here in New England so unless you have a pool or a friend with a pool you don’t get to enjoy that in the summer.
