Weekly Recap.

Happy Monday! How is everyone? Hope you had a great weekend. I’m so excited today because I am off work, it’s fall break woo hoo! Linking up with Holly and Sarah this week, here is the recap!

Monday October 5.
After work I cut the grass, while Huxley played outside and went back and forth inside. Kevin took Hadley to hitting. Ate dinner at home and then to bed. Non-eventful Monday for sure, and we love the low key chill weekdays.

Tuesday October 6.
My favorite snack lately is greek yogurt, fruit, and granola. After work, went to catching lessons. Hadley’s thumb / wrist has been hurting for about a week or so, we got x-rays twice and nothing broken just a sprain. It was feeling fine this night, but she wanted to wear her brace to ease back into it. The past tournament, a runner was coming home and third base threw Hadley the ball to get her out, and the runner’s legs rolled over Hadley’s glove and twisted her wrist / thumb. It’s totally healed and fine now!

Wednesday October 7.
Huxley stayed home from daycare and went to the zoo with Kevin! He was so excited! We haven’t been to the zoo much this year, but glad they got to go. After school and work, Kevin and Hadley went to practice hitting, Huxley had a haircut, and then he and I just played outside. The weather lately has just been unseasonable warm, so weird for October!

Thursday October 8.
I didn’t take one photo today! Hadley had her first practice for volleyball with her school so she was excited about that. Kevin worked the first night of the Blink event.

Friday October 9.
After work and school, we took Hadley to softball practice. Huxley and I found a post office nearby and I dropped off two packages to ship out. I started using the Vinted app to sell stuff, it’s been great so far! Kevin worked the second night of the Blink event.

Saturday October 10.
Busy busy Saturday morning! Huxley had his second “Fun at Bat” we call it practice. The first week, he didn’t participate at all and this week he did! We were so proud of him. The volunteers there are amazing, they helped him get out there and participate. You could tell he was so proud of himself, he kept running over to me and saying “Mom I’m doing it!”

Hadley had practice with her team, right outside the facilities for about an hour later than Huxleys. So afterwards, we got his scooter out of the car and hung out until her practice was over. I really hope he starts to love sports! On our way home, we stopped at The Dollar Tree for Huxley to pick out a toy, I did sort of bribe him he’d get a toy if he participated in baseball practice. He picked out a $5 drill, and he loved it.

Kevin worked the third night of the Blink event. I’ve never really had any interest in going, but the pictures look pretty cool.

Sunday October 11.
We did nothing today! A very chill Sunday. Watched the Bengals game, played inside, it was a rainy day. And Kevin worked the last night of the Blink event. I ran across this quote online this weekend, and it’s so true. Some of the people we’ve met have been amazing, and some of the people we’ve met have been drama. You’ll have that in travel sports. But either way, it’s a great experience to go through with my kiddo who loves softball so much!
