The new Hocus Pocus 2 movie came out last week! We’ve been planning on seeing it opening weekend on Disney Plus, but Hadley wasn’t feeling it. So, we waited a week to watch it, and here is how it went.

I’ve been prepared for this movie for a few days, so I was on top of things! I printed out a few signs from the movie and taped them on the wall above the bar cart.

I printed out a few different sizes of bats and taped them on the wall. Nothing special, other than printing the bats on paper, cutting them out, and taping them on the wall.

I bought cupcakes from Kroger, they were the Halloween cupcakes with rings on top of each one. In the car, they fell over and got all ruined, so I just spread them out a little with a spoon and took off the plastic rings and set aside for Hadley. I made the witches hats from Pinterest, cut them out and taped them together.

My favorite snacks were the Oreo witch hats, and the spiders! I took regular Oreo cookies, used black icing to glue Hershey kisses on to the Oreo, and added some Halloween type sprinkles on top of the icing. For the spiders, they were chocolate donuts with pretzel sticks in the sides of them, and I used the black icing as glue for the googly eye candy. Inside the black cat was Hershey kisses, and the clear plastic cup was the gummi bears in this post.

For something fun, I used Photoshop to add witch hats to all of our faces! Printed them out and glued them to popsicle sticks that I already had! So simple. These were Hadley’s favorite part of the goodie cart! All I did was stick them in the candy corn bowl.

We got through half the movie, and Hadley was a little scared! I was shocked. She managed to make it through the first movie, and then was scared on this one. I didn’t get it, but we turned it off and watched something else for a little bit.

A day later, I find her on her iPad watching the rest of the movie! She loved it after she watched it all and watched it twice.

We love doing movie nights at our house! Super simple touches can make all the difference! The kids won’t know how little or how much effort you put into these things, it’s just the fact that they happen and that you sat down and watched a movie with them!
Did you all watch Hocus Pocus 2? Did you like it? I liked it. It was a little too futuristic, but it was a good sequel for the storyline I guess!

Aw, I love all your themed snacks! We have not watched Hocus Pocus 2; my boys did not like the first one at all. I think perhaps we waited too long and they were too old to enjoy it?
My daughter wasn’t a huge fan of the first one at first, she was a little scared. For your boys, maybe it’s more of a chick flick lol
