Hadley got braces at the young age of nine years old! I made her a little braces kit to take to school so she could brush and check her teeth after she eats, etc.

Here are the before photos of walking into the orthodontist. I’ve never met a kid more excited to get braces than her.

Here is the after photo with her braces on. She was still so excited! The appointment only took about an hour, not too bad at all. The office gave her a take home goodie bag of all soft foods for her to eat the next few days.

Side by side of before and after. Poor kid has the smallest mouth, so all of her teeth have such a hard time fitting into the space.

Hadley enjoyed ice cream, yogurt pops, and all the soft yummy food for the next few days. She was such a trooper, and only asked for tylenol one time!

She has been doing so good at brushing her teeth after she eats! Flossing has been a little hard, but we are figuring it out.

The braces kit has been perfect for Hadley! Everything fits perfectly into the plastic container. The kit fits into her lunchbox, so she can brush after she eats and doesn’t have to worry about grabbing it out of her bookbag each day.

Items in braces kit:
Wax: The orthodontist provided wax to use in case any of the brackets/wires rubbed against her gums.
Flossers: To floss any food that might get stuck in between the teeth.
Toothbrush: Travel size toothbrush is perfect to fit in the kit, can be found on Amazon!
Toothpaste: Travel size toothpaste for the travel size kit.
Mouthwash: Travel size mouthwash.
Mirror: Travel size mirror with lights, can be found on Amazon!
A braces kit is perfect for kids in school, sports, or traveling, etc. Hadley loves bringing this braces kit to school, she brushes her teeth after lunch! She has all the supplies she’ll need for her day. Her most favorite thing is the mirror, it has a switch where the lights turn on and it’s super bright! I’m so glad she is getting into such a good habit of brushing after she eats with her braces, and I hope it continues the duration of having braces!

That is a great idea! They do make special flossers for braces that make it a bit easier to floss… I want to say I found them on Amazon when Alec had braces.
Thank you! I’m glad she is brushing at school!
