Lemonade stands teach so many important lessons and useful skills to kids, in a fun way!
For our 2024 Summer Bucket List, a lemonade stand has been a hot item for us to do this summer. Nothing like the end of summer to make it happen!
The neighbor kids helped Hadley pass around some flyers to get the word out about the lemonade stand. I printed these out as a 4×6 size, small enough to print lots of them. Hadley and the kids put them on people’s door / porch.
We set out one of our tables at the end of the driveway. Regular and pink lemonade was served. Had an ice bucket for ice, and Hadley and her dad made some homemade chocolate chip cookies to sell. Our neighbors gave us a bag full of air heads also, we gave those away for free. Hadley was so excited to do this all on her own. I did sit with her for a little bit, but she did all of the serving, taking of the money, etc.
It was hot! We used the big golf umbrella a few times for some shade. Huxley was a trooper, and sat outside with us for the entire two hours.
Homemade chocolate chip cookies were a hit!
Hadley had a successful lemonade stand! She was a great hostess and loved every minute of it!
